So through some creative trading and bargaining, I've managed to get a Revenant Titan. This little fellow (I use the term "little" loosely, as he is, in fact, a Titan) is quite a piece of art, and I'm really looking forward to painting him. The previous owner had already pinned it pretty well, so although I had to pop a few joints and re-pin a few things, he's gone together nicely. I still have him just pinned at the torso, which is why I'm holding him so that it doesn't tilt, and I'll be painting it in the two seperate pieces. So here's the first pic of many to follow of the next week or so of my Titan painting adventure.

Same. Although you might want to PM a moderator and ask for the thread to be moved into the P&M blogs section if you're going to be updating this regularly.

Well, I'm pretty terrible at keeping things updated... I'm also a really fast painter, so that's going to be my excuse. The Titan is done. I think I'll name it "Orion". I really like how it turned out, and the base too. It'll fit nicely into my army.

It's looking awsome, I love the tone of light blue.

A dot is simply a line that has gone on a walk.

Leg positions are just.. weird.. Like it's stumbling over the statue backwards...

Running while leaning backwards?

And I do agree, the paintjob is stunning I just can't seem to agree with it's position.

Actually it's landing on the statue... but I can't seem to get the right camera angle to show how it actually looks. It was primed orange by the guy I got it from, so I had to reprime it.

Yeh, landing on the statue makes sense.

Great job, love the jewels, - If I were forced to make a criticism it would be that the base is really very good, perhaps too good - the model seems a bit upstaged in certain photos, but quite honestly this is another gorgeous piece, this is very inspiring.

I like the pose, I think that what may appear awkward in some of these images makes for something unique, it's very enjoyable to look at this thing. I also like the treatment of the edges.

Hmm, I could see that. I like how it turned out, and the contrast between the realism of the Imperial park and how alien the Eldar Titan is. I had always kind of envisioned it moving kind of like a Praying Mantis, really smoothly and gracefully without ever looking like it put much weight on anything.

I'll be doing a Warhound soon, so it'll be a fun change of pace to see the big, overwhelmingly heavy construction of Imperial Titans and how to position them to get a feeling of their movement.
