I've bought my last models from GW on October 10th, 2011. Since then I've bought none, I am against their price policy. Screw them.

Realistically, imagining heavy weight land raiders going over it, I think that the struts are a bit on the thin side. Other than that, I think it looks pretty good.

its a landspeeder storm conversion i did a while back. i thought they where the perfect vehicle for a jeep conversion. it always gets people looking.
i enjoy converting models that look close to something else it just calls for it, in my gallery you can find pics of my avatar valkyrie conversion that i think is really cool and def gets people talking.

I like the idea, but I worry about a few structural points:

1) It's a bit short. You're only going to be able to join tables spaced 6" apart. I might shoot for something sturdier and longer.

2) The struts below run the length of the bridge. If they're below it and there's no lip on either side of the roadway to set on the tables (allowing the surface to sit flush with the struts hanging down) or ramps leading up to the edges, you've got a practically inaccessible section of roadway on stilts.

My structural engineering training points out that the deck is too thin and spans too far between the trusses. You could change this by adding other transverse beams or trusses to support the centre of the deck, however if no-one is ever going to see the underside, why bother

As already noted the visible trusses are also a bit small for traditional bridge design, however this is the futuar after all so you could always play the "magic-tech" card

My modelling bit thinks it looks pretty good as long as you don't get someone picky like me looking at it Look forward to seeing it painted. Any damage planned for the deck?

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!
