When was the last time you heard Dark Angels and competitive in the same sentance?
I used to play them, with a hybrid RW and DW army. I stopped and moved to vanilla upon their release for obvious reasons.
But now they're back. Thank you FAQ & Errata!

Please tell me what you think of this list. Because i dream of returning to beloved DA.

Why build for 1650, every game I have seen is in units of 250. Also while I am a huge fan of termies, storm shields dont work in ranged, so your still hurting from laz spam or the likes taking out a squad if bad luck a turn. And will that little of shooting really be effective long term? What would this army do agaisnt say ork can wall with 4+ cover saves, or battlewagon spam. In 1500 points I can easily fit 4 av 14 vehicles in on my orks. It just kinda seems like a specialized list or something you would use against one or two people that you fight constantly, and has no flexability say against hordes.

warhammer 40k mmo. If I can drive an ork trukk into the back of a space marine dread and explode in a fireball of epic, I can die happy!

What makes you think SS don't work against ranged attacks?

Mattieu~~~~ It's not that eldar are bad, it's that they require a lot of intergration between units. Also, that doesnt prove anything other than GW has a huge hard-on for marines, and, given the option between making a xeno the best psykers or making a marine the best psyker, they will 9 times out of 10 choose the marine.

Bel has Init 5, yes? I played the new DA when it first came out and no longer have a codex with me, but does he have the option of equipping with a Storm Shield and a Lightning Claw? It'd be the same number of attacks as the TH.

also, I agree with Orock, 1650 is an odd points level (in my FLGS scene). Perhaps, try to get up to 1750 or back down to 1500?

My guess would be that it says so in the codex, not everyone is always up to date with the latest FAQs you know...

Anyway, as some others have pointed out. There arent really that many 1650pts tournies, at least not where I come from. Anyway, 25 Termies and 14 missiles as well as 4 MMs seems nice. Not sure about the HQ squad. Why will it be held in reserve?

I'm pretty sure you can't have a HF and a CML in 1 squad. Other then that, it's a pretty good list.

Jupp that's right. It's either a CML, HF or an AC. Which is good/bad depending on which side of the fire you are on

Well I reread the rules, and yes it apears that storm shields now give a full time +3 invun save which is nice, but do you think your army has enough firepower, or is the idea to win it in meelee.

Well, tbh looks like a list built entirely for and with the new changes which just make DA have the same equipment as vanilla marines albeit at a cheaper price. Half of your terminators will be launching a DW assault? What about the other half? Are they just footslogging it? I would still try to include at least a no-upgrade 3-man bike squad to help with your DW assault. That way its's more reliable

The army is designed to be quite versatile. Nearly every unit has a myriad of abilities.
There is no squad with both a HF and CML in the list is there?
The HF/Belial squad is the only that will be held in reserve, and since they will come on automatically in turn 1, i dont expect the board should be too spaced out yet? A teleport homer will be useful, but its a minimum of 120 points with bikes i think.
1650 is the standard points value in my local scene - strange i know, but i cant do much about it.

In this army, i have everything covered i think:
for hordes: HF, HBs, multiple frag missiles
for MEQ: THs, krak missiles, CFs

2500 pts | 1500 pts | 1000 pts | 1000 pts
