Dont ya hate it when ya just keep buying more and more mini's even tho ya havent finished painting the one's you've got? Think it might be a way of putting it off lol, really should get round to finishing my Chaos Space Marines! ^_^

If you're ever serious about painting them, I'd suggest taking one squad and throwing the rest of the models in a box; never to be looked upon until you finish the current squad.

A big pile of grey plastic is one of the most demotivating objects known to mankind!

Annoyingly there are only 2 models in those pics i havent actually applied paint on yet, a rhino and a Land Raider. All the rest have been sprayed black and given 2 coats of dark grey and light grey dry brushing! lol

LOL Oh man I feel your pain. I have about 50 unpainted minis right now and boxes and boxes of unassembled ones... I have a 3000 something pts IG army that is all still in box... I blame the internet, taunting me with so many good deals >_<

I'm being good now, until I finish my Orks and my Guard I'm not buying anything else... except for an airbrush... and the WHFB rulebook is on special today... and the Canadian $ is above par this week... ARG this is why they call it plastic crack!

Amateurs. To celebrate completing my ork army, I purchased an 1850 Spacewolves army. And 1000 pts of nids. And 2500 of necrons. And 1850 Blood Angels. All told, 125 Infantry, 32 tanks, and 8 large model (dreads and big bugs) discounting what Ive already finished. All built primed and awaiting paint. Retrospectively, I may be the amateur.

x.x ive still got a battle force to even spray, tank to construct and paint, and ive just ordered 24 karskins (i have reasons for so many o.o while still following the normal tables) 2 tech prists, 4 gaurd snipers (i just wanted to paint some) and about 5 inquisitors x.x 4 heavy weapons 2 valks to finish repairing, and the rest of my wolves (about 16 models left) o.o i feel your pain, just to a lesser extent x)

I feel bad for you! 2500 of yellow, layer after layer after layer... you know what i mean Only colour i stay away from because is seems to take a billion coats to get a nice clear colour >.<

Ive got to paint the
black reach set,
2 tyranid battleforces,
a hive tyrant and carnifex,
a cadian battleforce,
a razorback,
and i've got as far as undercoating;
space marine command squad,
another tactical squad,
cadian command squad,
2 infantry squads and a leman russ.

Ever since i got the black reach set and acquired the ork codex, I cant seem to stop making orky conversions.

I am considering investing in an airbrush however

Yeah i made them last year before the new plastic one's came out. Still dont like the Design , not sinister enough for me, so made my own from Wood Elf Dryads! you can see them here on on eof my other posts.

Bah, I hate the feeling of having so many unpainted figures! At the moment Ive got somewhere around 140 Orcs, 75 Black Orcs, 150 Orks, and a ridiculous amount of other things that I don't even want to start thinking about...

Just thinking about it makes me sad. :(

lol Thanks guys, I just need to sit myself down and get to it! Fortunately the basic armour colour i'm going for is grey so its already at that stage lol. Just need to pick out details with gold and add traces of alliegence colours! have already atarted on the Berserkers and Plague Marines (God appropriate colour shoulder pads, helmets, feet and back pack vents). Getting there slowly but surely!! ^_^

I did the same, I picked up an imperial city for £30 on ebay.

I also painted the ork warboss.
1 down, 200 odd to go.

Luckily the airbrush arrived today, just need to perfect basecoating with it

Hehe I know this feeling all to well!

Currently I have nothing fully built and painted(that i got on Christmas anyway)! Only my Kharn the Betrayer is built and painted, just needs the base finished off! Its either half built, built and awaiting paint or partially painted and partially built!

Lets see Iv got a battle force with Rhino and 10 Space Marines partially painted and partially built, Berzerkers being built and i sold the Possesed Sprues as i dont intend to use em. Got another rhino and predator tank unbuilt(Boxes not even opened!), a half built demon price awaiting primer and a primed Balrog(Using as a greater Demon).

The dtoring stuff in a box works a charm! Sadly theres oh so many other distractions in the house(Curse you computer games!) and i tend to only spend 2 days in the week where im near my local GW so i can go there to paint without distractions.

I get around the tedium by first creating the list I intend to play, buy the models for that list, then paint ONLY those models (a squad of guys then a vehicle...back and forth).
Once I have my Army painted and ready I reward myself by getting all the really cool stuff I want to add in and play with...bikes, speeders, HQs, etc. Once I'm done with my hawk Lords project I'm thinking of fielding Belial and 30 various Termies in a deathwing army (got all the Termies, although they vary between unpainted through 2 different army paint schemes). I've also got 9 bikes unbuilt looking at a list with 55 Bikes!
Get your core listed army done then reward yourself with some crazyness you may only breakout once in awhile for gigles.

I'm actually unemployed at the moment, but i paid for it all selling my old 2nd edition 40k stuff on ebay.
Its been selling for more than i paid for it.
Then of course buying at discount prices like buyforlessonline

Im assuming older citadel paint is better than the newer stuff. When i dug out my old paints, out of 30 odd, only 2 had dried up.
I bought 5 new paints the other day and 1 turned up solid.

I think the word you might be looking for is to start to pain your chaos not finish! Oh well at least you will have something to do on rainy days!
