Very nice! very nice skin tone, composition and basing!

I have 2 small criticisms for you, but believe me in no way am I saying it's anything but an excellent model!

The skin on the face is wonderfully colored but a touch chalky, and the eye could use a little touch of edging as it is hitting a very bright patch of skin too, loses a little definition.

The chipping is a little hit or miss for me. On some spots like the backpack it looks amazing, on others, like the shoulder pad, it looks too 'brush stroke' in it's shape and placement. I HIGHLY recommend that you check out sponge chipping, it works amazingly well. I learned it from CMDante, he has a tutorial on his blog and examples of the technique are on his IG trooper (award winning) and my Space Hulk galleries in my sig (not award winning), in particular the C.A.T. It not only looks awesome IMO but is 10X faster than brush chipping.

Sorry, I know that was long, but it is so damn good that explaining the tiny things I didn't love is complicated lol! Very much looking forward to seeing more of your work!

Amazing work as usual. The reds are exquisite , and I would very much like to see a tutorial on how you achieve such spectacular looking battle damage. *Hint, Hint*

Thanks Major Tom, the funny thing is I have done a good amount of sponge chipping but lately I've been into the scratched up style battledamage. I think the logical progression will be combining the two. I've looked back at a couple of my recent projects and wondered why I haven't used both approaches together yet.

The chalkiness comes from a combination of bad painting and bad leveling in photoshop. I added a little too much hard light, the whites look funny because of it too. I did a little bit of a quick job on this guy.

I really appreciate your feedback, thanks! I'll have some real gems for you when my adepticon projects are finished

Thank you too Scotty, someday I'll have some tutorials on my blog...someday. The battle damage was done by simply drawing black scratches and highlighting the lower edge with orange, then I added a little white to the orange and highlighted the bottom edge again but dragged the paint from the middle of the line towards one corner making sure to keep my light source in mind. I hope that helps, someday I'll be able to show ya

Can't wait! I am interested to see the mix too actually. I tend to chip both when I brush or sponge, I should also mix in some longer scratches to increase the texture variety... Welcome to Dakka btw, don't hesitate to open up a PandM blog too, I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say we would love to watch your process as well as the final result!
