I am thinking of making his price 200 or 225 from 175, but here is a sheet for a Tank HQ I thought of while designing a Gue'vesa themed army.

EDIT: I just realized just many errors in the grammar section there were, I am blaming Adobe.

I like it, nice to see a special character that is not a CC beast or some kinda psychic battery, so qudos to you, my only suggestion is the army-wide +1 bs might be a bit extreme, but oh well test it out and see, it might also be interesting to give him a survival save when his vehicle is destroyed, perhaps allowing him to mount up in another one and continue the fight, just give some basic profile for him, the old IG codex had a rule for crew survival, and even made some minis for them.

All in all I like it very much, I have been knocking around a Gue'vesa character of my own, that rises through the ranks to eventually pilot a custom Broadside, but I digress, also nice job on the info sheet, with a illustration and everything....top notch ( don't sweat the grammar errors GW has been known to make a few themselves )

Perhaps I could limit the BS? Cut his point cost to 150, and say it's only on 2 chosen vehicles?

sounds reasonable could be 1 super-heavy or 1 squadron of upto 3 vehicles, may even be interesting to allow any army he is part of may include 1 Tau heavy support and or 1 Elite choice, to illustrate his connection with the Tau empire, of course these would use up slots as normal.

Again its a cool start, you should play some games with him and start a narrative, might make for fun reading.

Well after looking through the Imperial guard book, I agree with limiting his rules. After reworking his rules, I decided this.

Special rules for Shas'o Avrik Fendich:

BRING IT DOWN! (See Imperial Guard Codex, essentially makes weapons twin-linked if Leadership roll is made)

Honored within the Empire: Even though Avrik Fendich is a Gue'la, the Tau recognize his prowess and his usefulness in the Greater good. Thus, any army who uses Avrik Fendich as their HQ unit, may allow themselves to have one choice from the Heavy Support choices of the Tau Empire Codex, and one Elite choice from the Tau Codex as well. Their alloted slots work with the Army organization, taking up slots.
