Not sure about this, used a different approach to this, not as neat as normal. Let me know what you think.
Also first bit of free hand

Inside your mind, corrupting the pathways

I love this guy from the chest down (oh-er!), however, whatever colour it is you have used on the ridges of the face and arms is really putting me off the rest of the model.

The basing and overal theme is good though.

I like it a lot, great looking gems and TT standard! I agree with SilverMK2, the metallics on the face runes kinda throw off the rune-work on the rest of the body. I'd saw do them all one color or the other - with the exception of the aspect runes on the waist and legs, they should stand out and painting them metallic works for that.

The paint looks a little thick in some places, so make sure to water it down to that milky consistency for best results and use multiple coats to gain opacity.

I really like the color selection as a whole and the lava effect around the legs is well done.

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money

"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

Is that freehand on the loincloth or decal? (I've never put an Avatar together.) If freehand, it is superb!

Seriously, those are really great. If you think about it, please consider getting some pics together and writing a tutorial.

Very well done.
Tough to tell with the lighting, but maybe a little too shiny? Consider a matte varnish?
Or even put tape or something over the 'internal' lava bits, so they stay shiny and look liquid, while the rest loses the shine when you matte it?
