It's been over ten years since I've been involved in the hobby. I hope to come back strong. Been working on my sniper squad today. Obviously they are rough and WIP, but Be brutal!

see, the Exorcists run two extra companies of scouts because of the extra nasty things they do to become marines (like being possessed by a daemon for twelve hours). SO the army is scout heavy, with some hidden teleport beacons and that's when the proverbial ishtay hits the anfay

also, some fluff i read said that the Exorcists didn't have very many Devastators in the Badab War... so the one squad I use, im making them all helmetless and very grizzled looking... hardcore guys who eat concertina wire and poop napalm...

After tweaking this will be the 1500 point list. The 1000 point in trying to get up now won't have the Tech or the Dread, and smaller squads.

and the Sergeant of the Devs. It's one of the marines that came with the paint set. Added a bolt pistol, hacked out the extra bit of arm and the stud for the ultramarines shoulderpad. Added the chainsword from the Dev sgt sprue. Will add the signum after painting. Still need to shave off the tactical shoulder emblem, use green to clean up the hole in his belly (where the boltgun was meant to go) and the hacking around the holster. I liked the laurel on his head, which is why i went with this model.

Again, be brutal!

Interesting. Might be something I could do for a veteran sergeant in a vanguard squad... or maybe just his helmet in the yellow, old school like in that picture.

Thanks, wasnt really that much to it. File down the nub on the right hand, cut off the stud and the forearm... filed down the pistol holster to make it as smooth as possible, but I'm still going to have to bondo or green it smooth, probably will add a purity seal to cover the fact that I'm an absolute hack

well, i thought it was a bit sneaky. The snipers with the camo cloaks get infiltrated into a very deep cover position, and then the tech marine bolsters defenses on that cover. 2+ invulnerable save, Telion gives the BS6 to the Missile Launcher. Im a touch worried about hordes, but... we'll see.

Those devastators need diferent poses imo, they are all standing still and do not look very active (of course, they have no arms atm )

Right... I need to really look at the weapons to see what I want to do with them, can't get too creative when you're holding a plasma cannon. I figured the whole army will be posed dynamically, so the Dev's having personality via their armor, markings, and faces but not being too dynamically posed (because of course, if you're moving, you can't shoot!) would be the way to go here.

I have a soft spot for the exorcists myself and have some decent pics in my gallery, I will be following this thread closely to see it come to life! they are a great chapter with cool fluff and I believe great modelling oportunities! I also like the fact that not too many people play them and it's always good to see a not oft used chapter around! hurry up and put some paint on those bad boys! :-)

Oh, if you dont want that specific one (with the aquilla and lightning bolts on it) there is one with a grail on it in the BA DC box. There is also a whole upgrade kit offered by FW with them in it. Again, if you want just the heads, eBay.

Yes Mk 4 armour, again, on ebay some people are selling just the heads if that's all you are after?

Bitzbarn only has the "wet look" bare head from the DC box. I'll keep looking.

OK, here's the shotgun scouts. Does a teleport homer need to be modeled? How? Anyone have an example?

Not really, as long as you dont have 2 troops, one with, one without, and if you want one, there is one in every box of terminators that gets its own base. I guess you just drag it behind you
