To the mods: I assume general 40k is the best place for this post. My apologies if this is wrong.

Lost Clan

I ordered the Special Deal Imperial Girls Platoon set, and two of the Commissar sets. I received everything and a few extra bits it seems. 42 heads, 35 legs and torsos. a tank commander torso. 2 Commissar torsos, legs and heads. a bionic chest and set of hands. 4 officer torsos, heads and cc weapons. There are no guns in the set, you will have to provide your own arms and bases. It looks like he simplified the casting process a bit by redoing the mold set up. So the pictures on the site are not completely accurate as far as sprue set up goes, the sculpts are as shown though.

First impressions...
- Look like they will fit right in with my Cadian troops
- cast quality not much worse or better then forge world.
- there is a lot of waste resin, seems a shame but should give you some odd pieces to make terrain with.

After working with these models for about a week. I am fairly happy with my purchase. The models are wonderfully detailed and fit the Cadian theme quite well. The edges are nice and sharp making them pretty easy to paint.

You will need gap filler on the legs and heads, something that could be avoided with a few touch ups to the molds and a little more care with the casting process. The closed leg set is pigeon toed and awkward.

Quick dirty paint job on one of the troopers next to my regulars.

If your looking to add some estrogen to your IG forces that look like they belong. I would recommend Lost Clan.

***** The gritty details. *****

0.4 mm off set is the off worst I’ve seen on the casts. Though most are near spot on. You will have to clean every piece though.

Average male guard torso. 7.5-8 mm (chest to back, angled)
guard bust line male 7.8

Female torso 7.3 - 7.6 mm(chest to back)
Width at bust line. 7.4 mm

You will need some gap filler when assembling. Resin mix was bad on one of the casts, I informed LostClan about it and he mailed me a replacement piece. Sargent torso doesn’t fit any of the provided legs due to extra bags on the belt, the bags are easily broken and re attached to make it work. Many of the heads have air bubbles in the necks, a little green stuff and not a problem. A few (about 1/10) of the faces have air bubbles on the surface of the sculpt, though you get enough extra heads (6 heads for every 5 bodies) it should be ok.

Heads
4 common head variants, 2 with tied back hair, 2 designed to fit into IG spare helmets.

Legs
3 leg variants, stance, kneeling, closed legged. These are the only female legs he makes currently as far as I know.

Torso.
1 common torso

Officer bits
1 common torso, 1 Sargent head, mop cut, 1 Sword

Commissar
1 commissar head (looks like a pissed off catholic school teacher). 1 commissar body, The commissar purchase comes with one of the common set of legs.

Bionic bits.

Tank crew
ugly face in my opinion,

They have nice buns...

I don't care much for the face of the one you painted... very anime like.

Not bashing your painting, just the sculpt.

For kneeling obviously.

Oh I come from a land, from a faraway space

Those models are awesome though. A good knife, some green stuff, and the TLC of quality trimming and painting, and those will make great additions to a Cadian force.

It's awesome to see some sisters on the field that aren't Sisters, much as I love mah Nuns with Guns.

The quality of sculpting isn't up to the consistency of the Imperial Guard model.

Is it just me or does some of the faces look like they're being skewed/pulled to the right?

I think there supposed to be "mean" looking. but yes some of them are.

If you have found female heroic scale models that are a better match for the IG let me know. =) I'm always interested in adding to my army.

Lost in the warp. Halp!

Some day, I will find female models that are actually reasonably accurate. Women in armor don't look that much different from guys. I say this having worn everything from kevlar to chainmail to heavy plate. Really, the most realistic-looking model in that first picture was the one on the left.

The heads, however, look all right. Were it me, I'd plop those on the stock torsos and call it an army. (:

(Rant over. It's a sore point, what can I say.)

Thanks for the idea . I'm thinking of using some heads like that with the Elysian bodies for my homebrew IG I'm working on.

top left body was a regular guard infantry shown for comparison >_<

if you wanted to buy just the heads, I'm sure you could email the guy and work out a price. its not a large operation so I assume he could handle a custom order.

Hehe I do know what Candroth means, that armor has built in corset action .

Thanks for the post though. I'm gonna take your suggestion and drop them a line to see if I can just get the heads.

I like big butts and I can not lie.... My Other brother marines can't deny...

And whilst you're pointing and shouting at the boogeyman in the corner, you're missing the burglar coming in through the window.

Well, Duh! Because they had a giant Mining ship. If you had a giant mining ship you would drill holes in everything too, before you'd destory it with a black hole

Wonder what they look like when painted at a pro level.

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

Cute butts and the middle pose of the legs is very feminine (possibly a bit too girly) the torsos are, apart from the commissar, pretty strange as are the heads. It seems the sculpting went downhill the further up the model you go.

Inside your mind, corrupting the pathways

I was hoping someone would review these. Have to say that they do have good points and are a step in the right direction, however, they don't seem to be sculpted or cast particularly well. Nor do they look quite right - the waists are far too small and the tunics are a bit too short and make it almost look like they have 2 sets of hips.

Some of the faces are pretty "mergh" (though I do like the closed mouth helmet insert head).

The best body is certainly the tank commander.

But as I say, certainly a step in the right direction.

I do not understand why their pants have such static cling that it shows every aspect of they're genitalia, rather proud of the fact there's no camel toe.

the regular cadian legs look awful. I have no idea how those women walk with all that hip and very little pelvis.

that said the actual torso's aren't as bad, and the commissar and tank crew look good.

detail is really good, heads are good sculpts but honestly the legs kill it for me. I'd just put them on regular cadian legs.

EDIT: after looking at the models again, the heads seam like they're a size to small.
