Does anyone have any photos of some full thrust ships next to some bfg ships for comparison?

I'll try and get some pics up of a bunch of spaceships to compare them, but for now, Full Thrust is in what's called 'fleet scale' while BFG is in what's called 'cruiser scale'. A Full Thrust super dreadnought (the largest ships) is still smaller than a BFG battleship, and closer in size to a BFG cruiser. A Full Thrust Battleship is somewhere around the size of a BFG light cruiser.

Wait out for pics of Firestorm, BFG, and Full Thrust side by side.

Alright, here are the comparisons as promised. Our club also used this oppurtunity to take gratuitous amounts of pictures of every ship the club owns. PIC HEAVY!

Battleships. Left to right: Full Thrust (NSL), Firestorm Armada (Sorylians), BFG (Chaos), BFG (Eldar), BFG (Tau - FW)

Cruisers. Left to right: Full Thrust (NSL), Firestorm Armada (Sorylians), BFG (Imperial), BFG (Chaos), BFG (Eldar), BFG (Tau - FW)

That should give you an idea of relative sizes. And now, read on for huge numbers of spaceships!

The whole shebang, minus the broken ships.

My Sorylians.

My NSL Fleet...mostly painted.

The Chaos Fleet.

The Imperials.

The Tau.

The Eldar.

And Star Trek.

There's more if anyone is interested.

/end photo whoring.

This is awesome and way more than I expected.
A tip of the hat, sir, and much appreciation!
(And you've convinced me to splurge on a few 'full thrust' fleets when they get the webstore open, again.)
Also! what are the ships right in front of the starfleet ships?
(and, yes! more pics, please!)

I believe those are Cardassian ships, also from Star Trek

They are indeed Cardassians. Here are some more pics. I'm not sure what all the races are or from what show they're from, but they're still cool.

Custom Tyranid conversion.

And here's a pic of the Full Thrust NSL Superdreadnought next to a Sorylian battleship.

Glad you enjoyed the first set of pics!

I do love those sorylian ships.
Also like the 'nid conversion.

The Sorylians are indeed a nice line of ships. Spartan did a good job with them, and the casting quality is excellent.

The nid conversion was done by a friend and club member for a very intricate space campaign using the Full Thrust custom ship builder rules, so he wanted to do a race of robots that use organic life forms for space travel. He has some small escorts done as well, but they're not as good as his battleship.

Intersting. I'm tempted to use the Sorylians for a custom space ship game (Sky full of ships.)

I like the idea about the robots too. But that battleship is boss.

Its funny that you mention sky full of ships. The president of our club is one of the authors of the rules. Hence why our club is obsessed with spaceship combat.

Indeed they are, I just have no clue what faction they are. They look sweet though.

I wish I could tell you. The owner has...connections...to say the least . I would recommend Starship Combat News and poke around the forums to see if there is anybody making them. I'll try and find out where the owner of the ship ordered it from.

Sweet.

I downloaded the free basic rules. It intriged me. Just waiting for someone else at my club to read them and like them and then I might buy the whole book so I have the ship builder bit.

The big blue 'vertical' ships are Minbaria, with the purple ships below them White Stars. In-setting, White Stars can be treated as a sort of ally or a separate faction depending on the ruleset used. They're a mix of Vorlon and Minbari tech and are basically highly maneuverable little SOBs with regenerating biotech armor. The Minbari are the most advanced (the eldest of the 'young' races) and their ships are known for being hard to even lock on to despite being massive. The Minbari are somewhat infamous for going on a little genocidal rampage of humanity after we kinda accidentally killed their major religious leader. It's OK, though, as almost everyone has moved past that.

The next picture has an impressively painted Narn fleet. Narn are a formerly peaceful, agrarian vaguely reptilian race that has been enslaved, freed, bombed into submission, and otherwise screwed over by the Centauri, so they're not too friendly at times. They tend to favor a brutal, warlike design ethos.

I think the next pic looks like various Klingon or Romulan ships from Star Trek, but that's not a setting I'm as familiar with... Then there's the cool Tyranid monstrosity, and back to more B5 ships:

The Drazi are known for the glowing tale thingy, and I think these are actually shown with the cockpits pointing up unlike most other ships. There's also a Centauri vessel in purple off to the left. The Drazi aren't a big power player in b5 canon, but they're always around.

Next up is a lot more Centauri ships. The Centauri, when not busy dominating the Narn, are an old and decadent empire more concerned with internal politics and enjoying their wealth than much else. They've got a lot of advanced tech when compared to Earth, but are still scared of the Minbari.

The orange/brown ships in the next picture are not familiar to me. The Federation fleet in the background is pretty impressive, though.

The blurry pic looks to be Cylon basestars and human Battlestars from Battlestar Galactica.

Little surprised at the lack of any Shadow or Vorlon craft in the B5 assortment. They're the most active of the older races, and generally scare the pants of everyone.

Now I need to find time to watch B5 again...

Again, thanks for these!

I can expand a bit on were Blacksails left off. All the Star Trek ships are in 1/8000 scale, something that took a few of our associates close to a decade to assemble.

The Federation ships are for a mix of casts of ones made by a Japanese company in the 90s. The rest are ether scratch built by friends of our clubs pres or from various sources.

The Klingon are a mix of Micromachine (the Vorcha class), Japanese company (birds of prey and k'vort) and scratch built (Negvar).

The Cardassians (yellow-brown sting-ray like ships) are from a company called Studio Bergstrom.

All the Babylon 5 stuff is from the manufacturer that owned the rights in the late 90s, early 2000s.

The Battlestar Galactica stuff (including the basestars) are from Studio Bergstrom as well I think. Not 100% sure on that though.

And I'm the one who built the custom 'nid ship as well as customized the BFG Chaos stuff (note all the Nurgle like growth). Like Blacksails said, the bio ships were for a campaign that unfortunately is now finished and I had only one large ship and two escorts to show for it. Surprisingly put together they look like a dick and two nuts....

Best advice I can give if you want non-BFG or Firestorm ships is to go onto Star-Ranger forum and troll.

Probably Agents of Gaming, or at least AoG molds that were transferred to mongoose, then on to Iron Wind Metals. Here's a pic of some bought from Mongoose with a BFG Chaos plastic cruiser for scale:

The Chaos vessel is likely to be about to have a bad day. Sure, it can broadside any one target it chooses, but that's a lot of ships for it to take down, and those White Stars are ridiculously maneuverable.

Ah yes, Agents of Gaming. Those B5 models are slightly out of scale in relation to the BSG stuff though. I'm gonna guess that they are not in Fleet Scale, closer to Cruiser Scale, more like 1/2000 ish.

but where did the BSG ships come from

The BSG ships come from a company called Ravenstar Studios. They don't produce the Galactica, Pegasus and standard Basestars anymore, but if you visit Star-Ranger (the major spaceship gaming forum) there are a lot of dudes who produce BSG stuff.

Your Federation Fleet, are those the Micromachines? They're definitely not the official SFB ships(well, most of them).

No, most of the Federation fleet are not Micromachines, only one of the Klingon one is (The Vorcha class attack cruiser). They are not SFB ships, a lot of scratch built stuff and the rest are made by blokes working out of their shed/basement.

Here is another pic of my custom bio fleet. I've got another 20 or so ships that need green stuff sculpting and painting as these were mostly test models. They could work for an actual 'nid BFG fleet as well considering all the bits are from various GW kits... Bases still need to be painted as I used Army Painter yellow for the prime.

I'm an avid B5Wars playing, although I play using Fleet Action size vessels. I've got 16 different fleets at 15k points each, not to boast, but just to chime in on the b5 ships.

http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/h371/TwoToneWyvern/WhiteStarsandMinbari.jpg

The three large vessels are Minbari Sharlin Cruisers and the little ones Whitestars. Both are Fleet Action Scale.

http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/h371/TwoToneWyvern/Narn.jpg

Narn...
Starting on the left, two groups of three ships are Narn ShoKos, the group of three beneath them are Thentus. The four small individual vessels next to those are Dag'Kars, followed by the two Ka'Tocs, two Var'Nic, and two G'Karith (moving from bottom to top). The four vessels across the bottom are nothing officially released by AoG.

The rest are G'Quans with the yellow beast being a Bin'Tak.

http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/h371/TwoToneWyvern/Drazi.jpg

The Drazi are flying backwards!
Two bigger cruisers are Stormfalcons, the smaller single ships are Sunhawks, and the trio of ships are Warbirds

http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/h371/TwoToneWyvern/Centauri.jpg

Starting with the left/bottom, Altarians, the cresant shaped ships are either Vorchans or Demos. The trio up and to the left are Mograths with Kutais individually above them. Three Dargans fill in next to the Vorchan/Demos and Mograths. The majority of ships are Primus, Primii? With an Octurion on the right and Balvarin to the left.
