Wazzup Dakka?

So, I've been slowly working on my Riot Shield Guard for a while and have decided to add a super heavy to their ranks. As such, I have been thinking and decided that a Stormlord would be the way to go. I just have a couple of questions:

1. Which variant should I go for? I have decided to go with one that has the troop space at the back purely for aesthetic purposes, however, what gun should I equip it with. The tank will be playing alongside a small veteran IG list which does Apoc. only and plays with my Blood Angels.
2. How should I paint it? Should I go with my Guard paint scheme (in my gallery) or something Imperial navy-esque.
3. What cool crowd - control stuff should I put on it? I was thinking of a Water Cannon, maybe extra armour etc... Ideas for cool stuff and how to do it would be amazing.

Mounted searchlights.

I like searchlights - that gave me another idea: A cagey thing like on an old jeep on top of the crew compartment, maybe with mesh over it and the lights on top...

As for the cowcatcher: Should I go official looking or ad hoc?

I'm not sure if this is the mesh thing you were on about but one of those cage covers that goes over police riot vans windscreens (look at Uk ones) if you could do that over lights and openeings it would be awesome, as well as a little cage on top of the topside hatch; just make sure you have the commander with the hatch open, in the cage.

P.S, I have just got to say that this is one of the coolest ideas for a themed army I have seen, and I admit when I start IG eventually I'm probably going to steal your idea for a bit of my army; so then that section of the force would look like part of the planets local defence force, so sorry and thankyou.

There are these riot control vehicles that are basically garbage trucks with huge scoops on the front, which scoop up the rioters and dump them in the back to be... processed...

May I suggest something similar, a huge dozer blade on front (think FW Repressor) that scoops them up and dumps them into the troop compartment at the back

Oh, and lots of heavy flamers!

Tantan, you are welcome to nick my theme - check out my gallery if you haven't already. The mesh thing was what I was getting at - so rioters couldn't throw stuff at the troops in the back. The windows thing could look cool too.

As for the dozer blade: I was thinking a cow catcher rather than a scoop because there is nowhere to put them - I suppose that I could have a big old hydraulic windscreen wiper on the front, would that be too much?

Heavy flamer sponsons are a must, I might magnetise them so I can put on doubles...
