Hey Guys,

I have just started playing whfb and I came up with the idea to modify the lizardmen army a bit. I've been modelling and painting for over a week now, so my army is still in a very early phase.
The theme I stick to is:

TURTLES! (and a bit of other sea life)

I'm working now on a skink skirmisher team and a modified skink priest. So here are some first glances at the models:

Of course, unpainted it looks not that good. So I'm busy painting the 10 skinks and sculpting the priest this week.

The models I like to include in my army are:
- A Turtledon: just a giant turtle with a howdah
- A turtle hunting pack: count as salamander hunting pack. Maybe I can sculpt some fire out of the turtle's mouths.
- A skink chief on a manta ray: this is my most recent idea. Counts as skink chief on a terradon. Maybe I'll make him bsb, but I need to think about that.

Tips and reactions are always welcome, I'll try to post some progress this week.

Have you thought about shaving the fins off of the skink heads? I think that would make them look more like turtles. Other than that, I like this idea. I look forward to seeing this progress.

Which one is Donatello? And i agree Moltar.

mmmmh, i think the shell must be bigger.....anyway, that's an interessing project!

Almost painted my first skink, I will post a picture of it tomorrow to hear your reactions on this first try-out model.
Also I've continued working on the priest, which has now a pretty cool living turtle helmet on. I will also post a picture of this one.
