Utilizing Careful Highlighting
Finland... the country next to Sweden? No! That's Norway! Finland is to the east! No! That's Russia!
|
You could make them lesser daemons, but you need to give them a more daemonic feel.

Sweet Jesus, Nurgle and Slaanesh in the same box!?
No, just Nurgle and Slaanesh, Jesus will be sold seperately in a blister.

I say go for it!. Perhaps mix them with IG Catachan bits for that futuristic feel. I'm sure I've seen several threads on the subject here on dakka so search the gallery for 'guard' and 'beastmen' and you should find some!

I like the idea of this, assume you're talking about using them for WH40K? Like what he^ said, add bits to give them a more sci-fi feel, maybe give some futuristic looking armour and some 40K weapons (like chainaxes )

Armies:
"Hazmarines" chapter - several 1,000 points
The craftworld "Yal Tir" - 2,000 pts & growing
- Nurgle cultists... coming soon... |

I've seen it done and done it myself. It works pretty well, especially assuming you give them round bases so it doesn't just look like a lazy proxy. Painting them in "unnatural" colors (like fire or something) as opposed to giving them natural fur and flesh tones makes a big difference too.

Looking like a good start, except for the square bases. Those things always make me feel like I'm looking at a proxy, not a "proper" 40k model.

Heh, i have the same idea for taking beastmen as my lesser daemons. I'm making my CSM less daemonic - more barbaric warband feel, so my idea for fluff is teleporting beasts-slaves which counts as lesser daemons. They do look like s4 t4 2attacks none armour guys

Cheers mannahnin, there not glued to the bases, I just dont have any spare round ones, I just got another 9 spare chain swords for the rest of the squad, so at least the majority will look more tech advanced lol.

Not bad...
Stil not sure why they have to have a more "sci-fi" feel, everyone. The real chaos daemons look the same either way... I figured they'd be fine with some chaosy bits and weapons.
