I contacted GW about my issue (nothing from my order since November 19 2013), the answer from GW was quite simple:

"Games Workshop terminated its trading relationship with Total Wargamer with effect from 23rd May 2014, as a consequence of the number of complaints we received in connection with this trade account and its failure to deliver orders, and provide refunds, to customers within the required timeframes. There has been no delay or fault on the part of Games Workshop with regard to the dispatch of products to this trade account."

So I am waiting fro a refund from TotalWargamer... Does anyone can recommand me a serious retailer with good discount ? Basically I should return to Wayland games but their 15% discount is a bit low, even if their service is great... Just aasking. Good luck to anyone having issue with Total Wargamer. Just DO NOT buy GW items on their site.

Oh, and I would like to add that I proposed Total Wargamer to change my order for anything they can offer me in GW list, including warhammer 40 K OR warhammer Fantasy... They did not consider it. So do not expect they will do anything to solve your problems.

The sad thing is that I was charged 30% for commercial commerce taxes that I will probably will never be able to get refunded... I placed this order on November 19th when finecast was still available for retailers and now well... I just have to buy these full price on GW shop.

Would you be kind enough to tell me which problem you had ?

What about Element Games ? Do you have good experience with them since a long time ? Many thanks...

Only problem I've had with Wayland is that their orders sometimes take a bit longer than expected, but generally never more than a one to two weeks for most things. They also react promptly, least in my cases, to support tickets and whenever anything proved unavailable refunds were given upfront (I recall I ordered some paint around the time GW were changing paints around and they couldn't get one colour).

As for discounts Wayland generally has the most discount that I've seen for GW goods brand new. Mostly I think you might see some promotional periods with a higher discount and you could see some loyalty schemes give more; but online I don't really think its viable to discount much more heavily.

I've ordered from Firestorm Games in the past with good results; you won't see a higher discount, but they've good solid service.

They have masterful delivery, only about 1 day each to process and deliver your product

Find one person, just one, praising Wayland for their consistent speedy delivery. I'd advocate reliability over speed in most cases, and while many criticise WG for slow delivery, poor stock level representations etc, I can't recall anyone having issues with actually receiving an order, or getting a refund if they decided to cancel.

I'm no WG fan, particularly, I can't recall the last order I placed, last year probably, and I'd have no issues with your persistent criticism of WG if your issue didn't seem to consist entirely of "they took slightly longer to deliver your toy soldiers than you thought they should" and your reaction to that seem to be so disproportionate.

As long as I receive my order I am perfectly happy. I wouldnt have been upset against Total Wargamer if they did send me the items I ordered, even after several month. But forcing me to cancel is a real pain. Thanks for the advice guys... Be warned: Total Wargamer CANNOT provide ANY games workshop items anymore. DO NOT THRUST THEM.

Actually Wayland seems to have improved on their shipping times.

The main reason for their delays is usually because some item is out of stock and you end up waiting a week or sometimes even two for it to restock.

But between the time you get the "your order has been despatched" notice to the time it arrives at your doorstep, time flies.

E.g. it usually takes 10 days for orders to ship from the UK to where I live, but the last time I ordered from Wayland the duration was only TWO days (despatched 10th, arrived 12th). Incredible.

Yep i can confirm that GW have suspended trading with them, had a long talk with Trade sales today about them offering the 40k rule book for what equates to cost and the answer to that from GW was to wish them well as any rulebooks or the new Ork items TW are offering will not be coming from Nottingham ..

Last week I ordered on a Saturday evening, got a dispatch email on the Monday morning (at about 10am) and received my goods on Wednesday. Of course, my order was an older box of Infinity stuff and a couple of paints, not 'hot' products (loosely defined as the most recent GW Codex stuff or latest X-Wing wave).

This.

Wayland dispatched a recent order to me within hours of it being placed. All of the items I ordered were listed as "in stock". I didn't particularly want to order from them due to order delays in the past (though there was ZERO fuss in sorting them WRT refunds etc. when I got tired of waiting) and due to there now being a shiny new FLGS in my fair city (they could not order in the stuff I wanted). I'll use them, but they're not top of the list due to the rather hippy dippy stock level tracker and well documented problem with delivery times.

With the bolded part in mind, why keep moaning about it if you know this can be a factor if you choose to use Wayland?

I noticed they've reduced the Discounts for the new Ork release, if they wasn't no reason to buy GW from them already.

Has anyone actually went to their physical storefront to see if they even have new GW goods anymore? Considering their trade agreement has been severed. I realize they can still buy from a distributor, but are they? I think ordering Orks from them is going to be a disappointing experience for anyone foolish enough to get sucked in.

Does GW sell to distributors? I thought they dealt direct to local stores?

Also if GW does sell to distributors its likely that they might try to pass that trade ban on through the distributors. There might well be a "black-list" feature in the trade agreement that lets GW blacklist stores (similarly any store that gets blacklisted is likely to find that even if they are not on the distributors black-list the effect of that might well make some not wish to trade with them).

However it happens chances are that they'll have significant problems sourcing any GW models.

In the USA you can buy GW products through distributors. You pay an extra 5% (I believe) for the product though.

Edit: I should have been more specific. B&M retailers can get GW through a distributor, but a sole online seller (understandable) cannot. The same goes for PP.

They haven't had any (or maybe just a little) GW on the shelves for at least 1-2 years. Although, they aren't alone in that regard - the other nearest store hardly had any previously (that place has been closed for a while now), another independent in the next town stopped selling GW many years ago. The latter was when a GW opened in the same town and then suddenly new releases started arriving weeks late or not at all, the shop was primarily a model rail shop and had the luxury of being able to cancel.

yeah, figures...I was surprised TWG still stock GW products after GW had stopped trading with them almost a month ago.

Your best bet is to get in contact with your bank ASAP. Then you'll have to wait a couple weeks to actually receive your money.

I wouldn't use Total Wargamer again. I don't mind the wait, but the lack of communication is unnerving.

Dark Sphere are excellent in every way apart from the heavy postage on the bigger items. I've heard good things about Element Games, so I'll be trying them next.

Well sod it anyway, juat found this post about total wargamer.

Put in two orders with them for new ork stuff and rule book to the priceky sum of about 340 gbp.

Starting to look like I should have spent it on blackjack and whores now that they are apparently not being supplied by g.w.

TW is probably sitting there with a huge amount of money owed to distributors and quickly running out of credit and excuses. So they are probably hoping that if they can keep trading and keep taking money that they can pay back their debts and get back onto steady ground. The problem is that this tactic is slow and often doesn't work and if it does or doesn't it nearly always results in very slow turnaround times because they need new orders to pay for stock to fulfil the old orders.

GW cutting trade means that they are either taking orders they now know they can't ever honour or they are buying stock off a middle party (and likely not a distributor) which will mean even more cost for them, less profit margin (remembering that they already have steep discount) and thus even slower potential recovery.

Couple that to increased bad press and reduced trade and unless they have a huge shake-up I'll be surprised if they can survive
