so i just began at a box of grey knights terminators,
my idea was to make them look old and forgotten, give them some conversions and give them a nice color scheme
i was thinking about: a black and yellow armor whit red eyes, a red sword and some other details, i'll post pictures soon, so stay tuned and say what ya'll think of my idea

looks good but i think the armour could be silver (if you going for the grey knights kind of thing) even if its very dulled down and weathered it still ties it to the grey knights

I think a simple stone look (like old golems) would look fantastic! Make them look like living statues. It's just an idea /shrug

What you've got so far is great! I think they would definitely look like what you're talking about with some heavy weathering

I've seen a couple threads on here about stone pillars and stuff, it's supposed to be a really easy paintjob. Just drybrush over a black basecoat.

Thats a nice idea you have. Some easy pointers, and some suggestions from my point of view so no need to use them or get offended. I think you need to get some thin masking tape from a hobby store and re-do your stripes as they look off to me, and I would stop the stripe at the bottom of the panel and not continue it under the mini. Paint the area yellow, put the tape on, black it out then remove the tape and highlight. It will look a million times neater and will save you some time. Finally try some basic highlights on the black, am sure there will be a tutorial which will explain it much better than I could.

Looking good overall though. Show us more when you have it.

i just redid the back, whit the tape now, it looks a bit nicer i have to say so thanks again for the tip

i gave the model a wash with a blue color
i think it gives a nice "old" look so yea

i would leave the toe-caps the bluey/silvery you have.

The yellow on the toes would make it seem too busy.

I like this model i was looking and costing a 2000 point grey knight army the other day and at the end I though Yeah that'd be a great army now if only i liked Grey Knights......

your version of forgotten knights looks good, Do they come with a back story at all? maybe they're pre heresy space marines that were caught in a warp storm and thrown into the future... Those pesky warp storms always fiddling with old Father Time

Looks Awesome and a nice change to 'grey' knights I was tempted to get some but I don't want to paint everything silver, which is why I might use them for Thousand sons.

Only issue I have is he looks a bit like an Iron Warrior with the hazard stripes but I am sure he won't when he is assembled and finished.
