Hey Guys,
I’m going to make a Chapter Master out of the Celestine. But i need help on what to give her.
I’m not that experienced with conversions or metal models but I’ll do my best.
Ideas will help; my plans so far are green stuff blood thirster wing on her.
I will put photos of the things i have once my Wings come in the mail.

You're gonna want to pin those. Green stuff alone won't be able to hold them.

I'm a bit confused by what you mean by Chapter Master, are you turning her into a Chaos Space Marine?

Corrupt base, like the chaos terminator one, surrounded by lava.

A chaotic sword? You could use the one that the new GK model has (I forget the name).

Shave off anything imperial, i.e fleur de lis.

Broken chains hanging from the model, as if it was constricted by imperial forces and has later escaped.

Instead of the halo, use a chaotic circle.

Just a few ideas, look forward to seeing it.

and i was planing on pinning her. (tried just GS on my Master of the forge....didnt go well but i fixed him)

Sounds good, look forward to seeing what you do with it. Which 'dex are you going to use? I say go with the two swords if she's going to be attached to other units, otherwise the shield will be invaluable for the inv. save. The two swords is more badass, though.

They are still running under the Normal Dex but they are testing mutations....If you want look at gallery for the Devastator squad
But i could also try magnets for the shield and take it off when she is running two swords or the shield when she is running without them... might stick with shield.

Definately a new weapon, that eagle has to go. I would stick to either a sword or some kind of whip because of the way the handle looks. You could replace the handle to but it seems like a lot of unnecessary work.

Look on the chaos vehicle sprue for a chaos star to replace the halo. The icon for the defiler may be suitable.

I would put a shield in the other hand, a sword would be more difficult due to the way she is holding the dove. With a shield you just need to cut off the doves tail and head, sand it's body round and then stick a shield on the other side of her hand.

Shave of the fleur de lis (theses gaps look a bit small to add chaos stars to) and replace the wings around the skulls with chaos arrows.

The purity seals look like they would be a pain to remove. I would just leave them and paint chaos icons onto them as well as text.

you could replace the ball on the end of the chain with a large chaos star.

Looking good. Have you considered altering Celestine's face? Perhaps a head swap?

I didnt consider doing a head swap but that might be a good idea too.
maybe a helmeted or something else

Also i dont have much money to get alot of bitz but i will look around at the battle bunker next time im in.

Personally I would leave the head- your colour scheme looks quite slaaneshy and the head really suits that. Plus I think you would lose a lot of character.

Anyways after being sick all weekend, i should get the Blood Thirster wings tomorrow
What about her weapons i think she needs a bigger sword

Hey Dakka i finally got my blood Thirster wings and they are HUGE.
So tell me if this is a good idea or are they too big. i believe i can rig a base that can hold her.
Any suggestions on swords and shields.

My head says those wings are way too big, but my heart says holy hell, go for it!!!!

Am concerned that you will have a nasty time getting those wings to stay put.

I'm not convinced by the set of wings, perhaps the ones in the possessed boxed set will be more fitting, they just seems off scale. Although the shape of them suits her.

In a universe with giant robots that wear what could best be described as "cathedral hats", the wings are too small.

Like the wings, would solder them in place or use epoxy, otherwise there's no way theyre staying put, especially if you plan to game with it, what are your plans for the rest of the mini?

The wings are absolutely ridiculous. I love them. Accept no substitutes. Also, maybe give her a giant sword or whatever to balance it our some. Or a tail, maybe.

No tails but i need help picking a sword or a guide on how to make a kick ass one.

I like the wings. I have always thought that the wings on most stuff that I have seen have looked too small.

As for the base, I would do at least 40mm, (terminator base). I would possibly use real rocks glued into place to weigh the base down. Have them about two inches high. Once they are secure, I would get a drill and make a hole all the way down to the bottom and put a metal rod in it. Drill a hole into her if you can and have the rod go up into her, (laugh all you want guys, but it would make her more secure to the base).

So the end result would look like she is touching down on a pile of rocks.

The bits seem to be sold out almost everywere so ill keep looking

I think you could find cool looking evil wings without being so ridiculously huge, the wings are going to overshadow any other detail on the model. Your picture looks like two uberhuge wings, and what's that thing between them?

For her Iron halo, take Huron Blackhearts rusty and evil looking one from his backpack. It'll look awesome. Also, love the wing choice. Reminds me heavily of Sarah Kerrigan.

For a sword, take Crowe's sword from the new Grey Knights, as it's a Demon Blade.

If you want smaller wings, you may want to look for the soon-to-be GW releases.


Those wings might be perfect for what you have in mind.

The wings are the right size, however, I would get rid of the bulbous claw bits at the tips and replace them with something more to scale.

You could always make your own wings easily enough. I use paper, PVA and paperclips to make these wings:



A layer of crackle glaze gives the wing surfaces texture. I haven't even greenstuffed them, layers of PVA between the paperclips and paper have filled in most of the gaps.

I originally made these to stand in for a tournament as I had run out of large wings, but I have kept them on as they look pretty cool.

Also this weekend i will sit down and see how i will get the wings to stay on her (Prolly glue, pinning and greenstuf adventures) any other suggestion im free to listen.
also prolly work on the rocks on the base should they be rough or smooth?

Honestly id say leave the BT wings as they are. They look wicked sick.
I think Skulltaker has a really cool sword and there are also 2 really good looking swords in the Deamon Prince Box. Here are some pics of Cool demonesque swords. plus one of Huron Blackhearts iron halo.
