This is my first ever painted Warhammer 40K figure. My husband let me paint one of his Blood Angels. I've never painted these so any feed back?

It's well painted for your first mini but i'd do this if i was you

Remove the mold lines with a knife or a file.

It might just be the picture but i'd try an edge highlight of blazing orange or a mix of Blood red and blazing orange.

I'd wash the recesses with Devlan mud and then when that has dried give the entire red armour a wash of Baal red.

But overall it a good mini.

Excellent work for a first model, you ar a very neat painter.

Aside from what has been said before, the red is a little blotchy - Im assuming you started with a black undercoat?

This is down to a low pigment content in the actual paint. This could be remedied by giving multiple coats of the blood red paint, or by giving it a coat of mechrite red foundation paint before painting the blood red.

For now, another thin coat of blood red will sort it out

Paint more stuff, please!

Great effort looking good, theirs a couple of places were you need to put some more red on, red takes like 4-6 thin layers of red to get it purfect, tip try and get as less paint on the brush as possible.

The under coat was painted white, not black. Thank you for the tips.

A good effort I think the mold lines detract from the paint job a little though
