I'd like to convert a Tauros assault vehicle into a more old school armored car. I have pics of both I was just wondering how easy is it to convert said vehicle and would I be better off if I started from scratch. Also any recommendations as far as what to use for the turrets would be awesome. I plan on using it as a salamander and arming the main turret with the autocannon and the secondary with the heavy bolter.

I think it would be easier to start from scratch. It would certainly be cheaper! The car seems to be almost designed to be constructed from plasticard. Yaay for ultra simple fabrication techniques

A couple of bottle caps or appropriately sized plastic tube would work as the turrets. You could leave the turrets open to represent the Salamander open topped rule.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

I worked on some of those for my IG buddy, my suggestion is to dig up in the old toys box and look for a car or even better a jeep with the proper scale, then use plasticard and GS for an heavy conversion, for the turret you should build a plasticard hull around the weapon. Don't forget to use GS for rivets and weld lines

Can you buy those wheels separately? Other than them, most of the rest of the vehicle would be just as easily made with plasticard.

If you already have a Tauros, sure, it wouldn't be too hard to cover the crew compartment, but it seems a really expensive way to make an armoured car.
