Welcome to the alternate 1940s universe of Dust Tactics. The year is 1947, and the Allied and Axis forces are still clashing on the battlefield. Since the discovery of a revolutionary and mysterious ore, VK, which fuels elite troops and massive combat walkers, brutal combat is the only warfare known.
Dust Tactics is a tactical miniatures board game of ruthless engagements in which 2-4 players wage war against each other with the forces of rival factions belonging to one of the world’s superpowers. The Allies and the Axis control the majority of the world and are constantly battling for valuable and rare deposits of VK. Which battle will decide the outcome of the war?

EDIT: The Americans are here: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/374839.page

Here is my German army for the Dust Tactics game.

For more information about this game go here:
http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_minisite.asp?eidm=123

It's been a Tactical Board game since it's released, but DUST TACTICS will soon have Tabletop rules. The models are amazing and recently there have been a bunch of expansions like German Zombies and Gorillas and Power-armored suits for the Americans.

Axis German Army:

Blutzkreutz Korps Colonel "Sigrid Von Thaler":

Panzer Kampflaufer II-A "Luther":

Panzer Kampflaufer II-B "Ludwig":

Aufklarer Strumgrenadieren Squad "Recon Grenadiers":

Laser Strumgrenadieren Squad "Laser Grenadiers":

Kampf Strumgrenadieren Squad "Battle Grenadiers":

C&C Welcome. The Allies should be done this week too ^_^

These were some fun minis to paint, definately going to get more. I'll try out playing a game and do a battle report with fully painted models. I'm going to get another starter box, a few tanks and some expansions to make larger armies. I hope the gameplay works well, just skimmed the rules, but the models themselves are amazing.

Beautiful....how do the walkers compare size wise to a sentinel? any chance of a side by side comparison pic?

Many thanks.

I sold off my IG army, but I'll see what I can do for you ^_^ I'll get pictures up for you, I think the German ones are about the same size as a sentinel, I'll see what I can compare it to.

The game is "fast paced a and brutal." Everyone who plays says that ^_^ It might be a little simple straight out of the box but with expansions (command squads, artillery, German Zombies and Gorillas, Allies mech suits) the game is anything but. You play on square tiles which is almost the same as Tabletop, just easier to measure. Full tabletop rules to make this game playable like a miniatures game with tape measure and dice are coming out soon.

even putting it next to a standard space marine or predator will allow me to size comparison. reasons being i am thinking of buying two and converting them to heavy sentinels for friendly game use....your colour scheme for them is very similar to my IG stuff and they really look like they would fit in with aquila symbology.

thanks for your efforts.

I'm very impressed with those models. Both your paint job and the sculpts themselves are very good.

I'm especially impressed with the guns. Usually the guns on many models are uninspired and generic looking, but these actually look really cool.

Thats absolutely perfect thanks. It gives me a real idea of the scales of the models. The walker looks to be virtually exactly the same height as a sentinel.

Incidentally, the stormtroopers seem to be on a par with the cadian in terms of heights and proportions...as in the 28mm heroic....looks to be a good substitute for stormtroopers rather than kasrkins.....I take it the models, both walkers and troopers are plastic?

Many thanks again for your assistance [So]Rice.

No problems,

I'll help anyways I can, in fact FFG should hire me to market their stuff, I've got alot of people to pick up stuff from DUST

I'm 90% sure it's the exact height as a sentinel. The DUST model seems a tad bit taller than the Cadian (by a mm or so), but I think it's just the base.

They are plastic, but SOFT plastic not HARD plastic like GW uses. Doesn't make much of a difference once painted, I like it more because soft plastic won't snap.

Actually I have the exact opposite oppions experiance with Dust models, I've found that they are more like actual models and less like toys(my opinon of GW kits). Becuase of this I think that Dust models are more fragile then GW models. But then again the Dust models are jointed which is pretty neat...

Seeing the pictures of these models painted has modivated me to paint up my own set... Another thing to add to the painting list...

Catyrpelius,

Yes, they are very nice kits, superior in quality and detail to many GW kits (Normal Space marines....)

Beefeb,
Glad to know, I hope you enjoy the models!

cowpow16,
Thanks,
They are avaliable here:
http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_minisite.asp?eidm=123

Pricey, not really. 5 troops is $15.00 retail, most online shops sell for $10, tanks are retail $25.

The starter set has 3 squads for Germans, 2 Walker, and a hero, and same with the Allies, almost a buy one army, get the other free. Retail is $100, I got mine of the Warstore for around $70. I must sound like a marketing person for FFG by now, but these models are really nice.

Woah, those are amazing.

I'm seriously contemplating making a mechanized regiment of Imperial Guard using those walkers as Russ substitutes. Especially since each kit can make three different models, I wonder if I could magnetize them and make an entirely flexible force..

With some cut and pasting work, would it be decently easy to give them some more dynamic poses, do you think?

Eff, now I need to start an IG army. Those models are infinitely more detailed and realistic looking than GW's imperial guard, and if purchased from the war store they're cheaper per model than Cadians from GW.

I already see a counts as Hydra, Russ, and Manticore in the assault walkers. Oh goody goody.

Nice paint job on the Americans very well done.

I don't like the American walkers I just think the German walkers look more bad @$$ as a model.

Either way sick you should do a battle report video if possible.

Very nice - the only thing stopping me right now is a lack of 'Table Top' miniature wargame rules.

But from what I hear that will soon be rectified...

Looking forward to more from you!
