I used to have a Dark Angel force 20 odd years ago , when DA were still black...

so I have just discovered them , and looking to revamp them , now I am looking at creating a Raven Guard force , I still love DA , but I dont like the green DA or the white of Deathwing.

it sounds a bit simple just painting black , but its something I think just looks cool.

so this is my 'blog' about my stripping and reworkoing of these classic marines.

FYI my Mother said put them on EBay , but I was thinking I would never be able to afford the models again , so I will revamp.

Do you still have the arms for the marines? if not how do you intend on getting around that hurdle?

yes I have the arms , with the pistols , some knives and the missle launchers too

I am thinking about adding a little bit of plasticard at the base of the feet and at the waist to increase there height a little , as there not the same height as new Marines..

Going to start dip and strip tommorow, need the dettol...

Wow, this thread is going to be epic! I totally love the old models and the fact that you're going w/ the OLD old paint scheme makes it all the cooler.

You can also tell your mom that (IMO) eBay is a buyers market these days and (without a reserve or specific starting price) chances are you'd wind up selling them ridiculously low. I'm glad you kept them. Looking forward to seeing this project come along. Subscribed!

Getting the dettol on thursday , so will do a test on a plastic and a metal...

the old terms look quite buff with new size term weaponry...
