That is the original glass! What I have done is painted it with a red acrylic wash that Tamiya makes for model car kits, to paint the brake lights at the rear. I applied a coat to the inside of the glass to tint it, so that it looks like the crew are using night-flying red lights in the cockpit. Plus it gives the machine a really menacing look. It comes in all shades too, greens, blues, yellows. Now that GW are using clear plastic in their kits, I decided to have a crack and see if it would work.
I think it did! Automatically Appended Next Post:
What Guard army would be complete without a couple of main battle tanks?
Then the models that first got me back into 40k after many, many years away from the hobby, Sentinels!
And a dash of heavy weapons to finish.

Nice sentinels indeed. How did you do the battle damage on the middle one's front armour. Did you drill from the back of the bit?

During the construction I did indeed drill through the entire component. I then heated a nail with a blow torch and rubbed it around the edges of the hole to give it that molten look. On the inside, I added a few bits and bobs from old 1:48 aircraft kits to give a bit of extra detailing, as if the blast had exposed usually hidden cockpit components to the outside world.
I never got around to finishing off the paint job, I had intended to look into burned metals to see what effects were left after damage like that, then wash/weather appropriately.
