Hey guys

Seeing as so many people in the community post stuff up on her for some helpful criticism and feed back on projects, I thought I would follow suit and put a couple of post up to see what you guys thought and give some friendly or not feed back on what iv got.

After all little though into what new marine chapter i wanted to start collecting, I soon, well pretty much from the start realised that my choosen Chapter did not have to many charaters or models to pick from. So thought id try a hand at doing my own...... Oh by the way it was the Crimson Fists I choose

Iv painted a few figures so far, but just the basic squad stuff, which il hopefully post up once i get around to it. But for now, il start with my converted, strach built outta odds and ends from my bits box

Feel free for any pointers, I also have a terminator captain that im going to post up aswell

Fantastic conversion and greenstuff work there, jonkofi. Is that a Forge World Flamer? Hmmm

It looks like a very promising start. The base is cool, and the model is positioned very strongly.

If I were to make one criticism, it would be that the model's head does not follow the fire line of his weapon. Turning his head slightly to bring it in line would make a massive difference.

By the way, is that an old Mixing Pot there? Those things came in so useful!

Just a little note to say that everything struggled to load upon when I clicked onto this blog. Perhaps it may be the pictures?

Fantastic stuff all the same - keep up the great work!

@ Cosmic, thanks for the pointers, Iv tryed to reposition it again tonight. As for the weapon, its actually a heavy bolter from the very orginal land raider. Had that along with the landraider in my bits box for some time. Got plans for the land raider aswell at somepoint.

Im going to try some of this true scale stuff aswell. Aint to sure how that will work out but mite be ok. Iv read a couple of books and like the sound of some of the regular marines being massive even by Astrates standards. So a couple of over sized models to represent those more hulking built marines.

Ok its been a very long time since i updated this thread......my heavy appologies. After just have a new addition to the family time has been short to be able to do some serious modelling, but in between feeds and changing of nappies iv managed to do a little more work on my growing Crimson Fist army.

Along with some other figures iv been converting, like a Chaplain and scratch built Pedro Kantor iv been doing a few other bits, that with luck i will be able to upload soon. For now heres a couple of bikes iv been mocking up recently.

The first model is more or less finished with the odd bit of fluth and detail to add to the back of the bike. Im yet to add little extra detail to the rolled up kit sheet on the rear of the bike. But that will follow very shortly.

The second bike is, being made up to be like a quad bike for a special character. So far im happy with wat i got but am now a little stumped as what to add. Detail and extras are def lacking for this model currently and its just sat on the shelf the last couple of months as iv no real clue what else to add!!! As for the rider well im going for part true scale part scratch built kinda marine with a Mighty thunder hammer being draw back to smash into the oppent as he passes. But as I get further with him, il try to add so more pics.

Anys tips or pointers both good and bad are gladly excepted and noted.

Ah what the the heck, I have managed to uplaod the Chaplain in Terminator armour and the Assault Captain in Terminator armour. Theres also a close combat terminator assault sqd to accompany him when I get round to putting them together. But as I want them to look unique as possible this could take a while like everything else HA!

Ok heres a few updated pics of the quad bike. Almost finished the marine/captain. I decided to make him abit of a truscale'esk because of the size of the bike, also when knocking him together it seemed better to have a slightly bulkier model than a straight normal marine. The orginal standard size of marine just didnt look rite in opinion.

Still i need some inspiration for the bike itself. Though i know what the deal the rider is, im jus a weee bit stuck with what else to do with the bike. Whatever I seem to do or add just doesnt tick the rite box.

You guys got any suggestions, please feel free to put something forwards.

Iv also been knocking together a veteran Ork hunter kill team. It follows off the back of the Rynn's world war. These guys are just basically veterans but with extra kit etc to make them look like their specialised for doing extra technical stuff. Ye iv been quite simple with the converting but i think they work somehow. Still looking for a few extra things to through on them, but their coming along. The only thing im thinking off adding to the figures are some purity seals.

Again, say what you see guys!!!!

Still works in progress so are far from done but thought id show what i was thinking and the directions of things as they progress.

Ooo retro weapons. Me gusta. I also like your poses and various conversions, especially your captain. Intimidating and bulky, just how I like it.

Thanks man, i didnt orginally mean him to be bulky. But as the model developed it seemed the best route to go with.

As for the retro weapons, im loving the various finds im coming across. wether old space crusade or stuff from the Rouge trader era, it all goes in. I think it personalises my army abit more.

Dropped off the radar for sometime. But havent stepped away from the hobby. Iv actually doing a large number of projects at once......mainly due to the number of HH books iv been reading of late, inspiration and ideas for stuff has been coming out of my nose. Hence the delay in actually updating the wip. In due corse it will be done......sometime ha!

Anyways here some more recent stuff that have been knocking around on the work bench. As always c&c both positive and negative welcome

Again reading alot of the spacemarine novels iv started trying to add more actual physical fluff to my models. So i thought a good place to start would be creating a command squad. Heres a few snaps of whats kinda done
