My first contribution for the community

Decided to share this work of mine here and maybe get some advice too on this one hope you like it.

As the topic states, my project is to create a Grey Knight techmarine(and maybe more) for my army. This is mostly just to be able to test someday some 3 techmarines + 3 orbital strikes list just for fun. I fell in love with the drawn Grey Knight techmarine picture in the Codex: Grey Knights and decided to create one for fun. I'm trying to make it look as much like the drawn picture, with some exceptions. I can't stand the GW techmarine model at all, so that is one of my reasons for making this too

And now for my version. It is basically a kitbash, but I think I'll have to start learning to use Green Stuff too to finish this project someday.
Pictures are as good as I could take with my phone, but they show everything one needs to see.

I personally like my creation, but it still lacks a certain punch to it. The marine should maybe look a bit sturdier , because the servo harness is quite massive. I'm very happy with the servo arms I've come up with.
I can also post some listing on what bits I have used from what model kit.

I'm open for suggestions and all commenting and advice on this is welcome! And please do so!

I like the flamer and the plasma cutter, but the claws on the servo arms are comically large. If that's the look you're going for, then spot on... but I would be replacing the body of the claw with a slightly smaller piece.

The pose is good, though, and I like the backpack.

Agreed, it looks really good and captures the source pic very well. My biggest problem with is is in line with my problem with all the new GK PW models, i.e. the foolish design that GW settled on for their arm mounted storm bolters.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

Just to be 'that guy', the flamer and plasma cutter are on the wrong sides.

Otherwise, I think it's neat, but I do think you need to find a way to have some mechadendrite's coming out to make him look more like a techmarine, rather than a Termy with a servo-harness. And I would also agree that I think I'd prefer the servo-arms to be smaller. I think your size comparison may be a little off because of the perspective in the picture.

Another thing, is wiring. There needs to be some wires on the servo arms. I would recommend that you get some guitar string. Get a heavier gauge, wound electric guitar string. It will be perfect for this usage as it has the ridges. This would also actually work awesomely for the mechadendrites.

Thanks for your comments guys!

Actually, I will start working on some sort of robe/cape/cloth for the model, probably to be made from GS.
And those mechadendrites will come once I get my hands on some guitar strings.

I might be doing a little revision on those servo arms, because yes, they look very large. Even though the Stormraven landing gear works pretty nicely there
