CorSec Engineering is proud to announce their Omni-Stand flight stand system. The Omni-stand features rugged metal pegs and an interchangeable/collapsible design that allows your miniatures to work with many different systems. The initial release include some popular bases including 40mm square, 60mm circle, 30mm circle, and various hex sizes. In the next few months we will be releasing accessories and additional bases for this system.

Its about bloody time somebody did this. Well done! I'd love to do a set of variable height Sky Galleons of Mars ships. And might get some just for skimmers.

We are working on telescoping rods with our universal magnetic system on them. That will let you add pick, yaw, and roll to your miniatures. We had some production issues that slowed everything down before release but now that we have them ironed out we have lots of new products coming in rapid succession.

Nice but it's also a price question. You should have bundle sales with a small discount. Personally I'd be looking to buy about 60 40mm stands with pegs and everything and that comes to a pretty heft price...
Also you should offer the drill bits needed for them as I dont use the old system so dont really understand what 3/16 inches means.

Just buy the mounts and only as many stands and bases as you need for a game. You don't always have to have each ship mounted on a peg and base.
@corseceng - Any chance of getting 40mm square bases with the firing arcs etched in?

as 2112 mentions you just need 60 mounts plus maybe 20 40mm stands and 2" pegs. so $87.80 total for you entire fleet/fleets. We are considering a starter fleet set for the spartan stands. Those will have a volume discount for them.
so dont really understand what 3/16 inches means
Just a standard 3/16" drill bit found at most hardware stores. If your not in the US then I guess a 4.5mm would work. I'm not really up on standard metric drill bit sizes.
@corseceng - Any chance of getting 40mm square bases with the firing arcs etched in?
The next production run will have the firing arcs etched on them.
And if possible there are flight stands in dystopian wars that have two stands namely the Prussian and rising sun air craft carriers.
I forgot about those models having 2 pegs... Let me run some tests. making the base isn't a problems but I think screwing in 2 pegs might present some issues. Alternatively the pegs are strong enough to hold it with 1. It would need a custom hole drilled in the center of the model and I'm not sure many people would be up to the conversion.
Spartan also has 4 peg models in the works for firestorm. They should toss that idea out the window and just use our stands with a single peg.
The system is still young and we plan to keep releasing new products to support more games and add new features. We have some magnetic stuff coming out soon that is rather interesting. It is versatile as well. I even started screwing 2 bases to the pegs and using them as platforms to show if a unit is jumping or flying. Works great with battletech using the 1.25" hexes. Don't hesitate to make suggestions or comments. They help make the system better in the long run. We want to make something that meets most gamers needs.

This stuff looks great.. Im so happy too you're in the US and won't charge insane amounts for shipping (At least to me!)
I ordered enough to mount all 20 or so of my eldar tanks without driving me insane with GW flying bases. Im putting faith in these products to be *atleast* be better than GW ha

60 is what I need for a game, 40 hellions, plus 10 reavers and a load of ravagers, raiders and venoms. Heck for apocalypse I'd probably need 120...

These stands are a lot better then anything made of plastic. GW or otherwise. Is there a need for 60mm and 30mm round bases in clear acrylic as well? We where targeting BFG players with the black ones but if there is a need for clear we can offer those as well.

Just threw this together, this would be perfect for me and my needs and would keep the stem visibility to a minimum.
Basically at the top you could put a magnet, 3mm would be perfect. If you turn over a Dark Eldar Raider the hole where you put the ball joint flight stand is exactly 3mm wide and I've put 3mm magnets in them and it works really well but the magnets on the plastic stems keep on coming lose.
So a small mount where you could put the magnet, then under it be a small hollow rod you could insert a brass wire or piano wire into and glue into place. At the bottom would be the same hollow rod for mounting the wire and a screw for the base. Then the base would basically be the exact same you have now.
With a system like this you could remove the stem from the equation to cut costs a bit. You would just need the top pips, bottom pips and the bases. Brass wire can be gotten pretty much anywhere.
Is there a way to make something like this?

Corsec's existing system could easily do this, all that would be needed would be a different- style threaded connector at the top. The stems are already one piece and thread into their bases.

We have plans for Add-ons to the system. We are working out the details of cost and production for a magnetic set right now. These would be flat magnets and sphere magnets that screw into the top of the peg. Giving you the magnetic connection you want but still work with the rest of the system. The mounts are carbon steel and can be held in place by a magnet.
The sphere magnetic will allow you to add pitch, yaw, and roll to a miniature. Our existing universal mounts screw onto the Omni-Stands but those are being replaced with better versions soon.

Any idea how long until you guys will have telescoping stands for sale?
This system with your 1.5" hex stand is exactly what I've been looking for for my CY6! minis.

We should have the telescoping flat magnetic ones out soon. The spherical magnetic ones will be sometime next month. We are still working out some details with those. The spherical ones allow you to add more dynamic positioning to the miniature for a more cinematic game.
These telescoping rods might not work well with the 1.5" hexes. They telescope from 5" to about 18". That might be a little high for a 1.5" hex. The 3" would be a better option.
What size minis are you using? A wing of war style plastic 1/144th or 1/100 might be light enough to not matter much but they would still be a little top heavy. I did a quick test and they are a little wobbly without any mini on them at all.
We are also working on dials for the bases. That will be later maybe end of August before they get prototyped and a production run completed.

We're actually using 1/200 resin miniatures that are extremely light so I don't think it'll be unbalanced.
If they did turn out to be unstable I think I would just add some weight to the base. I already own a hotz mat with 1.5" hexes though so I'm kinda locked into that size now.

Sounds great. If those 1.5" hexes don't work maybe we can upgrade you to a new mat. This will be releasing soon and comes with a variety of hex overlays.
Our mats are printed on cotton and are created with high res photos so they look amazing. This one is from North Carolina I think. We have several other aerial mats in the works as well as some new shades of ocean.

I highly recommend these flying stands for ANY 40k player. This weekend I ordered 20 sets of them to mount all my eldar skimmers on them. They are quite impressive and hold the skimmer extremely stable unlike the GW garbage stands
Also, a SINGLE stand on a 60mm base 100% supports a scorpion super heavy tank which I did not think they would

SonicPara, Your order shipped. We had just enough. I had to go get the one used in the pictures and videos to fill the last pack. We do have the restock order in and it should ship and be in by the middle or end of next week. We have plenty of the 30mm rounds bases. In the restock order we will have clear 60mm bases as well.
Sorry about the confusion with the website. Paypal is making it difficult to do what I want to with the store. We are working on another rebuild that will allow us to include more pictures and better stock info.

We are still having trouble with keeping the black 60mm bases in stock. We are doubling the production run so that should help. We have plenty of clear right now.
I also got my hands on a French battleship that comes with the double wide base. We are working on a solution for those now.

Kymera,
The 1.5" hexes might be a bit unstable. Depends on how heavy the model is that you put on top. If you have problems you can add a few washers around the base of the rods to give them a bit more weight.
