Hey guys so i want to start a P&M blog for an army im starting its a made up chapter called the Sons of dorn.The reason behind the name is pretty simple im using the Imperial fist emblem with the Sons of medusa colour scheme.

Now i havent got any models yet i know i suck but im off to brighton for an extended weekend and will be picking some stuff up so expect some finecast at least by tuesday. Im going to try my best at keeping this blog updated at least once or twice a week and try to give you guys something shiny to look at everytime (Apart from now).This is my first blog and my first complete army im going with an out of the box style army but no fear there will be some forgeworld bits

So heres the start to the fluff im writing now bear in my mind i only got a C for english (Look above for prove) but i enjoy writing so what the hell !

When a planet is on its knees and all hope for the populace is gone who might the emporer
send to defend them.On the small planet of Forlon IV a once mighty space marine chapter was
all but lost there bodies now part of very soil they fought to keep there blood flows in the rivers
and their spirits watch from above. The tragic tale of the Sons of Dorn was lost in imperial records
but for those who witnessed there plight for those of us they died for...we never forgot.

Forlon IV was a fertile planet its agricultural industry provided food for planets all around the imperium
this haven of life was a jewel in the Soris sector which planets where no less than balls of rock.Untouched by
war and violence the governors of Forlon IV could never expect what was to come when the first tyranid ship came
from the warp.

Yeah! Son's of DORN.

So im back and im ready to start ( A little late i know ). So on my travels i picked up a few bits mainly a finecast veteran box.I will say the new finecast stuff is awsome but sods law had to give me a miscast so im sending him back to GW to be replaced.Now i put together the first of the 5 veterans and painted him up today hes still got touch up's to do but im no magnificant painter so hes about as good as i can do :( well i hope you enjoy the pics !!!

Looks great! Didnt know sternguard where finecast now....but that Dorn boy looks great!

So today i finished the vet and started on something else ... so here he is all done i will probably go back and tidy him up later on. Oh also i thought i would throw in those workspace pictures everyone seems to have just a note my workspace is also for my artwork

Are you by any chance painting up a Pedro Kantor model without the flag, the posture of the fuzzy picture is rather simular.... ?

I can see what you're saying but Pedro's pose is the other way round. I believe it is the sternguard captain(?) with a power fist (pictured bottom right in the finecast sprue pic).

Nobacon was correct its the captain but i will be using pedro and lysander in the army lysander wont be a HQ choice most probably a terminator seargent and pedro any ideas ?

Well guys i thought i would post up the unblurred picture of the captain to show where im at not had alot of time to work on him due to work but he should be done soon. Well enjoy and thanks for all the comments and views just knowing people are seeing my minis motivates me.

Hey guys manage to squeese a couple of hours work in on my sternguard captain i think hes looking better than my previous marine.I put some extra effort into painting the chest eagle and i think it came out quite nice so enjoy guys thanks for all the comments .

So i have finally finished the sternguard captain im really happy with him and i can see an improvment in my painting already.Its payday this week so im going to be making some orders I will be picking up some of the armour packs as well as GW imperial fist packs. Now i come to a tiny problem i want lysander but hes not in finecast yet and i dont fancy paying for the metal one full price so if anyone has a lysander figure in any condition they want to sell let me know ! thanks in advance
