After reading this thread http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/315548.page I realised that I absolutely love 80's and 90's Citadel Miniatures as they remind me about why I fell in love with the hobby in the first place ('91/'92ish). Inspired I went on to e-bay and bought a few things within the first week of reading this thread. I bought 5 Beastmen ('80's), 3 Minotaurs ('80's), a Chaos Nurgle Thug ("80's - To me he's a Fallout Feral ghoul) and a Bloodthirster ('80's). I have started taking photo's of these model and aim to show them here. There are pics of the first 2 Minotaurs to be painted attached to this post. Hope you enjoy and more coming soon.

Hey people. Been quiet for a few weeks now but I got some new piccies to post today. First off we have an 80's Beastman model with sword and shield. The tip of the sword actually broke off in the post and I tried replacing it with several different sword tips but they all looked rubbish and didn't join well at all. At one point it had the tip of a current plastic Bloodletter sword (a spare from my Bloodcrushers kit) but it just wasn't working for me so I just decided to leave it. The sword in the current Plague Marines box set has no tip so I thought; "cool, there's a precedent so I'll leave it". His shield is a more recent Beastman shield from the previous to cuurent Beastmen range (namely the Beastherd boxset which had 12 Gors and 8 Ungors in it).

Next up we got some really old Pink Horrors. I've had these for a couple of years now and they've been serving as Heralds Of Tzeench in my 40k Daemon Army. One of them has a home made disc of Tzeench that I made out of milliput with a 2 pence coin as an armature. I know it's a bit rubbish but I'm hoping to acquire a replacement from e-bay at some point. An old one that's about the same size as my home made one. In my army he leads a squad of Flamers as the Disc converts him to Jump Infantry. He can also be equipped with the same Daemonic power as Flamers so he works really well with them.

Well I've got 4 Beastmen and a Minotaur left t paint for this blog so I'll be back with those real soon. The last few models I've painted have been a couple of Mantic Ghouls (I've donated a couple to my Fallout project too so my Feral Ghoul finally has some homies), some Mesaans from Hasslefree miniatures and some old west historical things from Black Scorpion so I've been a bit distracted. Hopefully be back in next week or so with some more old school goodness.
