Angels win the roll for first turn...
Deployment
One objective is placed in the middle; I place the
DE's objective behind the massive
LOS blocking building, and I place the
BA objective in some ruins. Angels took the side with the most ruins. This will be a HUGE mistake on my part...
The angels deploy in a line formation like normal with 10 Am's in reserve. I have my other squad combat and all 10 pile into some ruins on various levels. The
DE clump up behind the large building, with 3 trueborn deployed on the roof, and their venom deployed behind another building. My other venoms deployed in a building off to the side. I place 7 wyches and a haemi on their objective as the
BA will have to go AROUND the back to get to them and get it, meaning they need to get through my entire army
lol. I place the empty raider sideways to try and block off the road.
The
DE roll to steal and don't get it... turn 1!
Blood Angels Turn 1
Movement: All 3 speeders boost as well as the two ravens, going to both sides of the building. The Am's shuffle.
Shooting: My right raven shoots its melta, pens, and
FF is failed... and I roll a 2. Immobilized. Bleh. On the left side my other raven targets a full raider without cover. Hits. Pens.
FF fails. 2 again; another immobilized. Drat.

DE 1
Dark Eldar Turn 1
Movement: Everything shuffles to get lanes of fire on the ravens. My empty raider hops over the large building to shoot at speeders. My wyches on the objective run up further into the building for more cover. My archons raider flat outs over everything to make a dash for the objective. The thought here; my
BA always go balls out for contesting and then throw the second
AM squad in to control it if everything goes well. I'll throw one wych squad with an archon into the
AM's and it should easily clear the objective! That way, even if the
BA do well clearing out the
DE on theirs, I'll still control the
BA's; which would at least guarentee a draw. One venom immobilizes itself in terrain; the other flies behind some ruins and doesn't wreck. My immobile venoms crew gets out and gets up a floor or two to shoot blasters at the raven in front of their window.
Shooting: My raider and 3 trueborn on the building manage to wreck the middle speeder. 2 ravagers and 2 raiders shoot and take out the right side raven; meph is unscathed. Nothing else to report really!

Tactical Thoughts
BA: Bad turn for me; shoulda wrecked 2 raiders and left their wyches in the open! Oh well.... This turn I'll aim at finishing those two raiders, charging the squads inside with doom, and clearing that raider in the middle. I'll try and take down the archons ride to leave him stranded; without
FnP hes easy bait for my heavy flamers!
DE: Great turn! Got mephy out in the open and took down a speeder. I still have all my vehicles (more or less) in tact! I'll get the archon to the
BA objective and then use the rest of my army to keep the
BA occupied.
Blood Angels Turn 2
Movement: Am's are a no show and I decide not to reroll for deep striking; don't need em yet! My still usable raven spits out its furioso and moves up 6", more than good enough to see the entire
DE vehicle blob. Meph flies over to get a charge on the wyches in cover. The furioso from the blown raven moves up to melta the immobile raider and charge the wyches inside, yay! My speeders shuffle for shots at the archons ride. My Am's in back spread out some more.
Shooting: My first speeder shoots its melta and misses... then its heavy flamer pens the archons ride, wrecking it! They spill out. Then my other speeder roasts the wyches killing 4! My Am's throw some bolt pistols their way as well, reducing the archons wyches to just 2 guys. They pass pinning/
ld. My furioso in the middle shoots his melta and pens the raider there... and I make my
FF save. Doh! My other furioso shoots, and pens his raider as well! Yet again... I make my
FF save. Ok, so I shoot my ravens
AC at the raider in the middle, while aiming all my missiles/melta at his other immobilized raider. Results? I roll a mess of 1's on the middle raider, and make my
FF saves on the other...
Assault: Middle furioso charges and shakes the middle raider. My other furioso (even with auto hitting) fails to damage the immobile raider... Meph fleets and gets to the wyches. I wound 6 times and the wyches make 5 invuns... and wound mephy TWICE (I had the reroll to wound drugs). Meph passes

Dark Eldar Turn 2
Movement: Venom pops out from behind the building. Archon and crew move toward the marines as planned. Stunned raider in the middle turbos toward the
BA objective (theres wyches in it). My wyches inside the immobile raider get out to charge the furioso. Ravagers all shuffle to shoot full on the still functioning Raven. My other moveable raider turbos across the field; doubt I'll need more than 3 squads of wyches for meph and the furioso.
Shooting: Venom opens up, killing 2 combat marines. They pass
ld. Archon and crew runs... 1". My middle shootable raider immobilizes the middle speeder. My blasters on the big building stun the same speeder. In a magnificent display, my ravagers blow up the other raven after just 2 shoot! The remaining blasters/lances go into the termis that spill out, killing 1. I also pour my immobile venoms shots into them. They wind up pinned from the explosion >.>
Assault: Meph kills 1 wych (made 4 more invuns) and he takes 2 more wounds. The furioso in combat with the wyches gets stuck twice, and winds up immobilized and shaken. He swings back and I make all my invuns!

End of Turn Thoughts
BA: Just... wow. Things are totally going against me this game!
DE are making
FF saves left and right, my termis are pinned, meph is probably going to die, and one of my furiosos is pretty much useless even if he kills the wyches... to make things worse, I have an archon on my doorstep! Not good.... My plan now is to try and conserve my objective; if its not too late!
DE: Excellllllllent..... it looks like in 1 more turn I'll have both objectives secure! VICTORY IS
AT HAND!
Blood Angels Turn 3
Movement: My reserves come in, landing not too far from where my furiosos duking it out. My 3 man
AM group jumps over to try and take down that venom. My remaining speeder shuffles to fire at the turboed raider over by my objective. My furioso in the middle readies to try and kill the new raider in front of him!
Shooting: My furioso hits with his melta, pens... and I make my
FF again. Really? My Am's blow up the venom. My speeder pens the turboed raider with its heavy flamer (at least they're doing something!) but only blows off its lance... drat. My Am's on my objective kill off 1 more wych from pistols.
Assault: Mephiston dies. My furioso kills 2 wyches but they get a stunned result and stay locked. My middle furioso charges and misses the raider.
At this point its pretty predictable how it ends; so heres highlights:
- The Furioso kills all the wyches at the end of T5, but hes useless.
- The archon + 1 squad of wyches charge my objective, killing all the marines.
- All the ravagers shoot + the last venom and wipe out the termis.
- My remaining furioso and both speeders get blasted.
- My 10 man
AM squad charges the small wyche squad on the objective; they only lose 1 wych, I lose 3 marines and stick. I then charge the remaining wych squad into them as well. The result? Angels are tabled basically (minus the furioso combat)
VICTORY TO THE DARK ELDAR!!!!!!!!!
Afterthoughts of the game
BA: DAMN! I got my asssss beat. My dice loved the
DE this game
lol! I guess it was a loss more due to luck than anything else, but damn! My
BA got beat like a redheaded redneck step child :(
DE: That couldn't have gone any better. Wouldn't change a thing of how i handled it; was pretty much a flawless victory!
