Very humble beginnings of a commission Avatar of Menoth.

It took me a second, but here I was thinking that you mean an Eldar Avatar. My first thought was, "Why does that dripping blood look like flames?" After that I re-read your post and realized what gaming system it was for. Nice work thus far, but too soon to tell to be sure.

Nice start, you do make his Popsicle stick look like a sword with reach that blows things up when they get destroyed! Can't wait to see where you go with this.

OOh, cant wait to see what you come up with. The stock Avatar is about the dumbest looking model out there.
The sculpting on the sword is very nice indeed.

That reminds me... I took the flames off of the sword. My plans for it have grown more grandiose than what had been done previously.

Bummer. I'm sure the next attempt will be awesome as well though.

You've already ruined the stock Deathjack for me (not that it needed too much help), but now the Avatar too? I can't wait to see it.

What did you use to cut that center piece down the middle like that? Seems pretty tough for a dremel.

A razor saw, about an hour of time, and a sore arm. About the one time I'm thankful for PP's softer metal.

Also got this extra bit of work done up real quick like.

Here we go, another Aduro post for the watch list.

Can I suggest skipping forward 10 years to the age where you don't really care about what people say on the internet. Studies show that it decreases your anger about life in general by 37%. - Flashman

POOPY!

My Dremel is bust. Same brand as my old one, but this one just wasn't nearly as quality it seems. The old one had the motor die out after some years of use. This current one had the pin/button that you press in to lock the bit in place to unscrew and remove it wear down within the first couple weeks, preventing you from changing bits. I ended up taking the pin out of my old Dremel and putting it in the new one. I think that was a year ago? Well it got to doing the same thing last night. Got home, took it apart, and this time it wasn't the pin, as that was still in very good shape, but the column/shaft, that had a groove worn into it almost to the same depth as the holes the pin catches in to lock it in place. That's not a part I can easily fix/replace, so I have to get a new Dremel now. Given I was in giving blood today so that I can continue to fuel my car for trips to and from work, I'm not going to have the budget for a new Dremel for several weeks more than likely. That's going to Severely hinder my work on projects, pretty much dead stop, until that happens.

Got the LEDs I needed for this thing, and messed around with them for awhile before I found the right balance of series and power supply to get them to work right. The picture doesn't do them justice. Now I just need to get the housing in the base built to hold all the batteries and a switch, and work on routing the wiring and LEDs into the correct spots on the model. Should be easy, right? Right...
