after assembling the dragon, i ve under coated it with skull white spray. After this i used my airbrush for the base color! (its give a first and smooth base for the rest of the job).
As you can see i ve choose to make a "red" dragon with a red stomach and a black back.
The color is chaos black for the back.
For the wings and the "stomach" i brush on all this part dark flesh after that i spray on the luminous part scab red with a last highlight of red gore.

The picture show the result of all of it.

Now the work on the wings.
Now that i have my basecoat i can use my brush:

I paint the wing: for this:
i ve used PA 898 deep sea blue for the shadow (it s to have a coordination on the mini)...

OUPS! i ve forgot to explain as i want to paint a cold wish (with a blue shifted skin (so a cold tone) i have made the dragon red gore (a hotter tone))

so with the deep sea blue i do a connection between the dragon and the witch

and i do a gradation from dark flesh to blood red using also scab red and red gore.

The picture will be a bit more expressive.

PS: I promise i ll enhance my post and try to correct them with better English

Agreed, the wings look like they're almost translucent, that's pretty nice!!!

The blending & highlights are great too... Is that thanks to the airbrush?

As for the pics, they are indeed a bit blurry, one of the Dakka users has made a nice tutorial about taking pics : Vent's Macro Photograpy and Miniatures tutorial. Definitely worth taking a look!!!

Hello everybody i need some piece of advice!
you see some picture of the base: do you like it? did you see something better?
Firstly i was thinking to put a flag but i think the spear with the heads looks better (in atmosphere and hide less the mini)

and in a second hand: the chain for the dragon head: i think a bit longer will be better!

i don't think i will use the armor of the kit (i ve got a second dragon to build (thanks to yggdrasil!) wich would have this armor)

Go for the spear!

I'm not sure about longer chains, they look long enough IMO.

The base looks really nice...

Are the brown-reddish things some foliage of sort? It looks so and should be great when painted!

Also, I do spot some parts from the Citadel wood lol...
