This is my first time ive posted on Dakka and i wanted to see if any 1 had any suggestions about my Tau conversions.
I converted 4 models, 3 fire warriors and a stealth suit. The fire warriors are converted with guns from the crisis battle suits, they are also made up of random bits from my bits box and some green stuff, i havent gotten around to paint any of them fully yet except for the machine gun guy. For the machine gun guy i added a targeting system that i made out of cardboard and plastic from the Gamesworkshop blister packs and Ink from Gamesworkshop (they don't sell the ink anymore). The last guy is a stealth suit, all i did on him was straighten out his arm and made him pointing at something.

Yes, some good ideas there. I like the gun shield on the burst cannon.

The stealth suit is too dark to see properly.

My one criticism is that the burst cannon looks front heavy. Maybe you should add a stock going back under the soldier's right arm.

A word of Constructive Critisem try get the Camera to focus at the best of its ability also try use some sort of a light sorce, nor Camera flash.

I tried to get the best photos i could and the camera i used wasn't so good.

Kilkrazy, you mentioned a Stock going around the right arm, what do you mean by that, like a cable or something?

I am not sure if giving vehicle mounted cannons into the arms of an infantryman is a good idea. You wouldn't glue a pistol to a Hammerhead turret either, right?

I mean the buttstock of the gun.

I would use plastic card or possibly sprue.

Heavy weapon Tau, sound like alot of Tau players dreams haha

I think a stubby burst cannon like in this picture would suit infantry a bit more

The pictures are very dark which makes the figures hard to see properly, although I do agree that the BC looks a bit front-heavy - I often forget that in gaming terms, these weapons are made out of metal & would be ridiculously heavy to hold (have you ever used a pneumatic drill? Those things relatively small compared to some heavy weapons but boy are they heavy)
