It's been a long time, but I believe that it allowed opposing armies to ignore the target priority rules and shoot at large Tyranids when they might otherwise have to fire at smaller ones.

It wasn't a rule that allowed you to bypass the shooting priority. If I remembered correctly, it meant you HAD to shoot at the monsters unless you passed a morale check.

I may be wrong though...

Fortune may favour the brave, but Khorne favours me!!!
