Just took a few photos of my WIP Dire Avengers. I want to paint them a slightly different than the typical color scheme. The helmets will have a nice subtle icey blue look to them. Below are some of the photos, let me know what you think. The helmet specifically has only been basecoated and only the face is finished. Eventually the plumes of hair will be painted bright green to match the colors of my Eldar army (blue/green).

Finally, after over a month, my Avengers are completed. Ive been so busy and havent had anytime to spare for painting, but I wanted to at least finish this squad because during production they were turning out so nice. Below are plenty of pics to show off my new squad. I am extremely pleased with how everything came out, in particular the blending of the helmets, the plumes and the entire Exarch piece. Comments/criticism welcomed. Enjoy the work, it will most likely be a few months before I finish anything else :(

These are fantastic. Really inspiring for me. I've sworn off my Eldar until I finish my marines, but once that's done (soon), I'm gonna be starting my Eldar with the dire avengers. I've painted a few, and they feel like tricky minis to pain, with all the tiny armor plates and such. Really uplifting to see some done so well. I love the silver on the shimmer shield, a very nice touch.

It's spelled "cavalry." NOT "calvary."
