I have the beginnings of Orc & Goblin, Vampire Counts, and Dwarves. I have more Dwarves than anything else and might be able to field something reasonable with what I have. In general what units from each army are folks playing these days? Big question I know but any help would be appreciated before I start spending money.

O&g is really dependant on what sort of army you want to play.

Vc vampires are useful so are ghouls and grave guard are good skeles are good for summoning.

Dwarfs well war machines are popular. Hammerers and thunderers long beards and iron breakers seem to be around a lot.

Dwarfs can be very flexible,

you can go extremely cannon heavy and be on the defence
you can go gunline
you can go close combat
you can even go NINJA dwarfs,
but NO magic

Dwarves-about 2000 points, most unpainted. Kill me now.

I'm collecting Dwafs as my second army. I'm collecting a gunline. However, you you can't go wrong collecting cannons, organ guns, grudge throwers, and maybe some gyrocopters. Also, I like the thunderers.

I think George Orwell was unknowingly describing 40K.

Most of them.
My advice: browse the Tactics forum for these armies. That subforum is made for such discussions.
