Any effective way to remove dust from models (specifically painted in GW paints - standard, metallics and washes).
Would a damp cloth rubbed over them work?
What about running them under a slow running tap?

Any ill effects possible?

Personally, I found using a slightly damp paintbrush works pretty well. Works best with larger brushes, as in larger than anything you'd paint miniatures with.

they are water based paints so NO WATER, Computer stores sell compressed air, thats what I use
Just hold them in your hand and spray away

Compressed air eh? Is it powerful? Some of the dust is quite thick and in hard to reach places :(

Yep some of them come with a little hose nozzle on the end so they can get into small spots
It is powerful, and designed for getting dust out of laptops

Are the minis sealed?

Mine are, I use the slow running tap water plus a soft paint brush. Cans of compressed air work too.

Just because the paints are water based does not mean you cannot run them under water. The paint on the side of your house is probably water based latex as well and every rain storm does not cause that to run off the side of the house.

That said, I would use a small can of compressed air that you normally use to clean out computers.

I use a large, soft brush that's dry. Just dust them like you would anything else.

+1 for compressed air.

I use my airbrush.
