Hey guys, let me know what you think. The idea is to have a board that can be played evenly from all sides by 4 players, and then lengthwise between two players and finally as sort of a 1v3 fortress mission. There will be a large central park in front of the library, with dug outs and trenches in front of the main building. The other side will be a dense city, with a brdige running through the middle of the table lengthwise (with the river ending in a water treatment plant)
Any suggestions or ideas let me know. Still struggling on how to make the central park, bridge, and to give some cover to the two players in the sides adjacent to the library (main building). I really want to leave the middle open to allow for some free play, and to let fast moving units use their speed, and long range units to be useful there as well.
Let me know what you think! Will be updating as the project goes on!

Put Buildings with the best views and most desirable positions in the middle so players have a reason to move out, rather than just sitting back and shooting each other, other wise known as the most complicated game of yahtzee.
Also be sure to have some buildings that solidly block line of sight, so no single position has command over the entire field.
Finally i would put the grid of the city on a diagonal axis not Parallel and perpendicular to the board edges. This way there are likely no streets that go directly to the opponents deployment. Meaning the luck of first turn is not such a big deal.

Thanks, took all your suggestions. Diagonal city blocks is a great idea, having trouble blocking line of sight in the middle as the idea is that the "librarium" on the one side has been temoprarily turned into a defensive area, with the openish park in front of it being turned into entrenchments by the imperial forces who have fled the city. Will be trying to make sure people have good cover to move across the board though.
More pictures as things develop. I'm particularly proud of the watch tower.

This seems promising, i love city terrain though, if it were me i'd be packing it to the brim with buildings
Good start, the central plaza of course is better for playability, so i'd contine with that, after all, you can always make remove able buildings if you wanted more of them.
Also nice watch tower
Keep up the good work

Thanks guys, will be working on the trenches, another watchtower and possibly a landing pad for the imperial library side. The city still needs more buildings (some that are intact) and possibly an interchangeable ork fort in the top right corner. Lots more buildings to surround the inner park and the river channel needs to be sided. I'll probably get that all done today, and put in some hills.
Still have to figure out the bridge, and a few other things. I'll post more pictures tonight.
Thanks for the support!
