Here is one of my first attempts at the BA elite!

Whilst painting this one, I found that my workspace was occupied after going away to make a cup of tea!

I have the same problem, and mine's also black and white. It's hard enough to paint sometimes as it is but when you get one of these monsters sat on your lap or table it's chaos!

Nice work on the mini though! It does look a bit grainy in the pics but you've done a good job of blending the sword. I did my gold a little different on these guys as i'm not a fan of the gw metallic ones. Check by blog (link in sig) for my san guards, it's really easy and who knows, you might like it!

Yes it is a bright light and therefore rather warm!!! I sometimes use the heat from the bulb to dry paint quickly!

I like the sword, but I'm realizing why I like NMM gold. The metallic paints are too sparkly.

This thread is old, and this is Necromancy (got a warning when I went to post), however... If Dakka is going to spotlight "great pics" on their front page, and I look at them in the Gallery, and they have an associated blog with them, it's not my fault, it's a broken Dakka algorithm.

My cats would do that, except I built them two little 300mm x 300mm platforms above the desk so they can look down on me, their loyal servant.

Great model! The blood angel models are so ornamented with sigils and what not it makes me want to start an army of them.

0/10 for the cats. Terrible creatures and how anyone can enjoy having one is beyond me. I am morally disgusted and may the Emperor have mercy on your cat-loving soul!
