I've spent the last day or so on this after digging out a old Artemis fig.
Had to bulk up the armour as he was too weedy looking. Also I've added a padded coif and resculpted the lower face so he looks more like a veteran than a male model of the original
Not to sure on the legion yet . He was going to have a chain axe but I've now decided on a thunder hammer and bolt pistol .
Feedback would be greatly appreciated.

very nice work. have a couple of artemis myself and the legs are way too thin, as is the torso.
if you imagine the poor guy without armor on, he would look like a starving superfreak...
how do you smoothe out the greenstuff? got a fast and easy technique?

Finland... the country next to Sweden? No! That's Norway! Finland is to the east! No! That's Russia!
|
Well... The legs look pretty cool right now, but since he is an Imperial Fist, make more battle damage. It looks good on yellow.

Sweet Jesus, Nurgle and Slaanesh in the same box!?
No, just Nurgle and Slaanesh, Jesus will be sold seperately in a blister.

You need to lose or replace the marine helmet from the base. It throws the scale well off.
Otherwise, damn that's tasty.

Agreed. This is my only criticism as well - otherwise it's fraking awesome. Great GS sculpting!

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money
"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

This is an amazing work of art!
Your 'understated' approach to the paint scheme is 'more realistic' and it is turning out to be something awesome!
Well done indeed!

Thanks guys .
it was actually realy fast and easy to do .primed it grey .painted hairspray where I wanted worn paint and sprinkled table salt on .let it dry a few mins then gave it a coat of yellow then black lined all the armour plates then washed it with brown powder pigment (wated down with alot of water) . sealed it with Matt spray varnish then did the same again with black pigment sealed it again then highlighted the edge with the original yellow and then used the pigments dry working them on with a stiff shirt haired brush then sealed. it yet again lol sounds like a lot of work but with my trusty hair dryer each coat only took about 20mins each . gona take a break for a few days but hope fully I can start on the base soon .
