I am building a card stock Warlord titan, I have seen some people's warlord titan's that look like the poorly drawn warlord from the Apocalypse book. That titan from that poorly drawn titan does not look like any of the Warlord titan versions from Epic. Right now I am building a Warlord based off the Epic 40k titan, the newest of the titans in epic. So far i have only done a couple hours on drawing up, and cutting out, and scaling up. I only got the right leg done so far, but when I took it to one of the local gaming stores everyone who knows 40k fluff and have seen epic titans knew what the leg was for. Today i started working on the second leg and the I cheated and going to use the Main Body Lower Portion of the War-Hound card stock titan as the groin of the warlord. I was just going to make it so I could say I have it, but I just found out that one of the local gaming stores is going to run an Apocalypse game.

here is a picture of the right leg.

First leg is done all the way up to the hip... I am up to knee of second leg with the thigh done, still need to attach the two halves together. I have the groin also to attach the two hips too once I get done with the second leg.

Grey titan and white space marine are actual Epic models, White titan and Grey space marines are actual 40k models (white titan is what I built.)

Good stuff but I think the pics could be bigger and clearer.

Also I'm moving this thread to painting and modeling.

well to get a good picture were you can see what you are looking at you have to be close when taking pictures of tiny epic models.

well one of the couple local gaming stores in my area are running a Apocalypse game, I started building the titan before I knew about the game, so I was using my precognition.

yeah day two on building warlord, I going to have to get creative to build the upper body and have it be able to be attached to the lower section without permanently gluing together.

Awesome stuff. I might exalt this if it turns out as good as it looks so far. I love the pose, very unlike most titan builders who just do a straight pose.

Also what weapons are you planning on giving the brute?

I am going to build an modified old school Volcano Cannon, and then a Modified old school laser Blaster. Then for the carapace I will put a pair of double-barrelled Turbo-laser Destructors. I do have to say I would love to arm him like my old warlords were set up with the two arm Volcano cannons and the two carapace laser Blasters, but in 40k you can't arm a warlord like you could in old epic spacemarine/titan legion.

well both of the old Epic titans were in the process of stepping forward, the original round carapace titan's legs were distorted because of the modeling were the legs were diffent because one was straight and other was bent, but the epic 40k titan does not have the same distortion effect on the legs. I also am going to have the titan being tilted downward, because it will be more focused down on to the battle field shooting stuff at it's feet not firing 4 feet away at titan's its own size mainly.

I don't have files with pictures of the cardstock I am cutting out, I did print off a couple spare hand drawn cardstock plans I did with a ruler, but after I got mostly done with the first leg I stopped making extra copies cause I didn't want to wast the time, and I was starting to use Cardstock that had other print outs on them.

well I am just starting the top, it will make the legs look like a cake walk. if you look at the mess that I do my work in you see some woodelves bitzs, some space marine bitzs, Ork Bitz, Warriors of Chaos Bitzs, Babylon5 wars bitz, Epic Nidz bio-titan, and terrain bitzs. I just got so much junk, my dwarves bitzs on that table on out of screen along with my inquizitor bitzs, or any of my 5 shoe boxes filled with bitzs.

Guess stuff is so blury you can't see what all bitzs are in the background on the table...

well getting closer.... Just wish I didn't have ADHD and only could concentrate for 20 to 45 minutes at a time. which actually is VERY good for me, I normally have a 5 to 10 minute limit on doing the same thing straight.

I am just really tired of people making titans who are just cardstock thick.... I mean in 40K a robot made out of steel that is only 1/4 inch thick would be armor 9 not 14

Why? I mean, it's a hard material to work w/ as well. I built a warhound using cereal box which was difficult as hell to say the least. But honestly, isn't the challenge of making a titan out of card stock & getting it to stand up & be structurally sound worthy of some nod?

I have a month and half to finish it.

I have to build up the shoulders, add the reactor to the back, and guns on the arm weapons and shoulder weapons.

Lasblasters for the two arms carapace mounts pair of double-barrelled Turbo-laser Destructors

Well when all said and done it will be a Chaos Space Marine titan, so I got plenty of chaos glyphs for it, but when I use it in the upcoming Apocalypse game it will be a Loyalist Warlord so just going to have to light on loyalist glyphs because it is not going to stay loyalist.

Once I get the basic titan done, I will add some games workshop parts, I am thinking about buying a space marine drop pod for some bitz to add to it
