This is a recently completed work, scratch built with a bit of a star wars influence.

As far as fluff goes for the piece: I am aware that escape pods would have come in straight and then deployed some sort of chute
but i wanted to create a crash site of a malfunctioned pod that perhaps came in on re-entry too shallow (perhaps tagged by fire or perhaps some debris managed to knock it off course, I also have very little knowledge about the physics involved in re-entry but I tried to make it look as real as possible)

the whole ordeal causing the pods mechanical / hydraulic systems to be inoperable trapping the escapees inside (insert possibility for objective marker albeit a large one)

I like the impact trail. As a terrain piece, it's good decoration, but it lacks interactability. Models can't really climb on it or in it. The more you can do with a terrain piece (move over it, under it, through it, use it for partial or total cover) the more fun it is to play with. Aesthetically, though, this is an awesome piece!
