My latest completed figure from Andrea. It's a big and heavy figure. Really bad casting on the lower leg which I had to sculpt some thigh armor to cover the horrible casting. A tough but fun kit to paint. See some areas I need to go back and fix looking at the pics now. Comments/critiques welcomed

Great model and really nice paintjob.
Make me remember how much I used to dislike GWs gorilla-posed orks and orcsies.
Only remark on the painting is the fur bit sticking out over the belly-armour, its highlighted so it looks to much like the metal below it.

Edit: the skull/bone parts look a bit clean, but I guess a collector like Volgor take care of his skulls

I disagree with Rogue Wolves about the skin, completely. I think the shading is quite natural, especially for a greenskin (for some reason, painters seem to love nothing more than ramping up the contrast on ork/orc skin, leading to a phenomenon I've dubbed "watermelon syndrome").

I don't think anyone has mentioned the basing yet, which I think is quite lovely. My only gripes with the piece are minor - I find the red of his gums/inner lip a tad jarring, due to their brightness and the rather stark transition thereto. Also, the bits dangling off his shield (skull garland and tassel) seem a bit bright and flat, although it almost seems more like a white balance issue with the pictures than a painting problem - I'll leave you to judge that for yourself.

Thanks for the comments guys. Oadie, I kinda agree with you about the gum/mouth color. Looking at it now it is a bit too bright. The skulls did get washed out in the pic. But thanks fro the kind comments!
