The "beads" on the "rosary" look like they're just drybrushed, but the marbling type effect... how do you pull that off?

There is a similar effect done on the Medieval Necron tank, but a little more subdued. It looks like the same technique to me, is it?

Marble technique, only instead of a white basecoat they went for green.

You have two options. The first is marbling, as described above, though it takes a fair amount of skill and time to pull off. I would note they did not use this effect on the necron vehicles. Look closely, they are a lot flatter than the overlords shoulderpads.

The second is stippling, either with a brush or a sponge, as seen in this picture. I used a sponge on the model below, starting with a green base, then sponging on two lighter colors over the top.

I did the shoulders by painting them hawk turqouise and then doing thin lines of ice blue and even thinner ones with skull white. Comes close enough i'd say
