i like it ,although i think you could use another color strip or longer gray strips to cover some of the red open areas ( sides, font ,rear, top)the camo doesnt look like it flows over the whole vehicle.

I don't like the paintjob. I'm not dissing the model - it's a nice conversion, and you will become awesome when you end up doing dirt of track, but the paint leaves something to be desired.
To me, it just looks a bit too thick.
PM me if you'd like a more indepth 'analysis' into what you could improve, but that's all I'm gonna say right now. Thin your paints.

It's a nice start. The mud effect is great, but the tank itself is flat. Before adding the weathering effects you should go over the tank with a wash to add depth your tank is dirty but the metal is too clean. Wash is your friend. The exhaust pipes you have in the back are good, but the little white skull is flat. im not sure your intentions are for the hatch on the side?

honestly i think this good for a first tank, the mud looks great, its weathered quite nicely and the paintjob isnt bad! i think badab black on the metal or maybe just devaln mud it may take the flatness away. otherwise good stuff

Agree, it looks good but flat. Do a wash on the metal, highlight back up to boltgun, then do a very light drybrush of mithril. Similar treatment to the red.
And thin your paints. Very frustrating to get a nice coat on vehicles, I know, but you just have to do it.
Either that or get some spraypaint.

Good job for you firat tank. I dont mind thicker paint coats on a tank, makes it look aged, as though the crew have had to repaint it after each battle. I do think though the gun barrels would benifit from a wash of badab black along with the lorrels and skull on the rear in devlin mud.

For a first tank its pretty good. I like it. I like the colour scheme and the dirt tracks. The only suggestion I have is thickening the width of the white lines and like one guy suggested, lengthing the grey so that is flows over the whole tank. Thats just my suggestion. Usually when I'm done a model I dont ever touch it again. But like I said for your first tank its pretty sick. 7.8 out of 10.

The only thing I can see (that isn't mentioned yet) it the white stripes. Good idea, altough the white stripes is looking a bit sloppy in places and is in different width. If you put a few more minutes on them they would look great.
But overall, I like it. The red is well painted IMHO, but, as said, a few more washes would raise the whole model.
I like the autocannon/HS idea. If you buy a newer battle tank the moving part on the turret is a bit wider, and if you want to keep the theme with coax HS going you can take the supplied HS, saw of the barrel and glue it in place next to the battle cannon.

Gave it a 10 on coolness, because I just love LRBTs
7 on the paintjob, because it's good, but when I saw your other pics, I thought that you could have done a bit more to it.

Hello,
is an airbrush in your possession?
Bemalung is best for tanks, as applied to the photos, the color comes across a bit thick.
Then I would put all the silver with a little abschattieren Badab Black or with washes of MIG. I can only recommend for painting tanks.
But not a must
Then I would create with oils a few wear marks on the rivets, which is very good and easy with oil paints and you can pretty blind.
The Kettengleider I would have with a graphite pencil or with metallic pigments, or just go to Boltgun Metal, so it looks as if the already longer in use.
The dirt can be good with pigments to create the lower set of the tank, but here also is a TUT of Catt in the forum, look at the times, that's great.
I use things for other mud-and dirt-holding. Pigments, acrylic liquid, various pigments and water. And gypsum for more volume.
I hope this helps a little

I really like the color scheme. It looks like it belongs to an armored regiment hailing from a volcanic world.
If I were you, I might make the barrel of the cannon look a bit charred. It would add a final touch to the tank. Otherwise great work.

As others have said definitely thin the paints down in the future. Also, you could trim the mould lines off the gun barrels and exhaust pipes. Maybe add some decals too. But this should be quite sufficient for gaming!

I havent really seen any decals that suit my fancy cause I was going for something a little unique. I want to learn how to freehand but with being a marine and having a 3 year old its hard to find the time to practice. If you know of any decals that would kind of mix old school USSR and Imperium symbols that would be great.
