Greetings and salutations!

I have just secured the location for the 2012 Colonial GT; The American Legion in Clark, New Jersey! The address is 78 Westfield Avenue, Clark, NJ 07066-2427 (732)574-8374. I will place the paypal link on the web site for ticket purchasing after the Conflict GT. You may still register for the event before the paypal link is up, but remember that to secure your slot; you have to pay the ticket fee. There will be some gamers that are listed as paid earlier; those are players that have won tickets through ticket swaps in other events, as well winning tickets at the Colonial Qualifiers. To help out with some confusion of a couple of players, you don’t have to go to the Qualifiers to go to the Colonial. These Qualifiers are geared for you to practice, win store prizes, and earn tickets to the Colonial GT.

Included in your ticket price for the 2012 Colonial GT, we will have a cook that will serve Breakfast and food for the rest of the day. He will be serving dogs, burgers, Italian Sausages and Pepper, Chili, and Buffalo Wings! Speaking of Wings, I think it’s high time we bring back the Wing Eating Contest (I think will be most likely won by Ludwig or Scooter, unless we get a dark horse in there).

The bar is directly downstairs, and has a great setup and selection. I have already got an okay from the Commander of the Legion that we may partake in the Alcoholic beverages. Remember that this facility is a private location, but feel free to enjoy! We had one of their bartenders that volunteered as our beer lady! Plenty of parking on site!

I am also trying to contact the Wounded Warrior Organization and the Army K-9 component to do a charity auction/drive for Saturday evening to give back to our soldiers that gave so much to us.

There are hotels in the area, which you can Google, or use search engines such as www.hotels.com. I will be in contact with several hotels to see if they can help us out with
prices.

You can get to the location by taking exit 135 of the Garden State Parkway, Exit 11/12 on the Turnpike, or 1 and 9. 2500pts for WHFB and 1850 for 40k at the 2012 Colonial GT. The 2012 Colonial GT Tournament Packet is being updated and will be available for view very soon.

*2012 WHFB Qualifier for the Colonial GT, you can either use this paypal link; maplewoodhobby.gaming@gmail.com, or pay when you get there. The fee is $15.00. Rich is the POC for the event besides myself. He is the manager at Maplewood Hobby, and the address is 1970 Springfield Ave, Maplewood, NJ 07040 #973-378-3839. The date is December 10th, 2011, check is 09:30 am and 10:00 dice are rolling. 2500pts, armies don't have to be fully painted, special characters are
permitted minus Teclis, Thoric, and Fateweaver. No Book of Hoeth, or Fozzrik's Folding Fortress. Characters are allowed a "Look Out
Sir" roll on all 6 spells, as done this past Colonial, Conflict, and Crossroads.*

Look forward to
seeing all of you at the event!

Sounds awesome as always. For those who have not attended the Colonial is a wonderful event with a lot of representation along a wide variety of levels of competition. You will seem some really nicely painted and converted armies out there.

FYI~ As for the Wing eating competition. If Big Al attends playing WFB, i'd put money on him winning. I'd recommend a time cap for the length of the competition. I think he basically out at Larry the last time.

As a Fantasy player I am a bit hesitant on this one, with almost no comp restrictions. I don't look forward to brutal lists full of unkillable Dreadlords, 2 stank Walter, and all the other silly nonsense of a win at all cost type enviroment. The other GT's in the area do a good job with comping to still allow hard lists but cut out the brutal stuff.

Last I checked there's a rules packet with a bunch of restrictions including one for stanks?

Empire Steam Tank. I looked all over that website and saw no restictions other than it must be painted and No Teclis, Kairos, or Thorek.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
I was very amped to go to this and i love the tie in with the Wounded Warrior program, but a no comp tourney has no fun written all over it.

There were additional add on's via email. They will likely go up on the website shortly. I am just copying what was on the email, I am not a TO / organizers. This is to try to help out. Be patient, TO's have all the typical responsibilities we all have real life, jobs, in addition to trying to keep attendee happy. When I looked over the below restrictions, I was pretty impressed.

------------------------

#1. There is now a 28 model cap to the following units of Elite Infantry: All Daemonic Infantry, Grave Guard, Chaos Warriors, Chosen, Temple Guard, Hammerers, Savage Orc Big'uns, Swordmasters, and White Lions.

#2. You may only have 1 Loremaster in your army. Period!

#3. Max of 4 warmachines in any army list.

#4. Restrictions by army:

Beastmen: None
Bretts: None
Dark Elves: Hydra is 0-1
Dwarfs: Grudge Thrower is 0-2
DOC: Flamers are 0-1. BSB can take either Daemonic Icon or Gifts
Empire: Steamtanks are 0-1
High Elves: None
Lizardmen: Salamanders are 0-1, Stegadons and Terradons(any kind) 0-2 choice
Ogres: None
O&G: Max of 60 Bows of any kind. Max of 3 NG Shamans
Skaven: 0-1 Abomination
Vampires: New Book, Terrorgheist 0-1, Black Coaches are 0-1, Banshee Screams ability 0-3 (including Terrorgheist). 0-4 Etherial Units (Including Characters)
Wood Elves: None
WOC: Hellcannon 0-1.
TK: None

#5. May not have more than 15 models in a Calvary Unit.

The event has moved to a new space, 2 blocks away. So all the hotel information is still good. We have expanded to 80 WHFB slots and 32 40k. The paypal should be up and ready, we are up to 56 prepaid for WHFB, and will have 2 more to add to the list this evening so far....talked to the ICGC last night, allot of those guys are pumped with the added space, and will be coming. I would love to hit 80 this year for WHFB. Comp has been adjusted.

The warstore will be there again this year, and I have been collecting prize support from sponsers. Its looking good!

Any chance some of those extra spots could go to 40k rather than all to WHFB? I'm attending the 40k side and I'd love to see it get bigger than 32, and know there are some more people interested locally in attending, however it's already full at 32, which was the initial 40k cap.

I signed up for 40k so now have to figure out a list and get painting. Look forward to seeing you all there.

So are there spots open now? The colonial website doesn't load properly at work so I can't tell at the moment. I had a great time at the Maplewood Qualifier and would like to come to this if there's still space. Also I'm local so if it's full, I can be available to fill in if there are any drops.

We only have 6 now for WHFB......you are more than welcome to drop by in case of any drops.....I will be updating the page as soon as I can. 40k has a qualifier in March at Jesters Playhouse....they are holding a slot until its filled.

The 80th ticket sold today.....the participant list is being updated to reflect the updates. Both WHFB and 40k are sold out. I will take standby players, but don't submit your payment to me until a slot opens and I can get you in.

Also, there is a chance I can get a three day Warmachine event in the American Legion space....waiting on a packet from my Press Gangers....
