What are the best Wings to use for a Flyrant. I had the idea of using Balrog wings, which can be bought by themselves for £6:50. Is therer anything better to use? That isn't too expensive, ie £25<?

If this belongs in modelling, move it please.

I would go to the swap Shop and see if anyone wants to trade for Daemon Prince Wings( or hit up the war store and see what you can find).

Balrog might be too big.

Balrog wings are one of the commong options. Dragon wings work as well, although either of those are best if you modify them a little to make them more Tyranidy:

Or, if you're feeling adventurous, you can always go the Green Stuff route:

I think the dragon wings look best with minor green stuff work, I believe they sell em on their own too for pretty cheap.

@Insaniak.

Those are both very good, especially the the Green Stuffer. Are those yours? Unfortunaly I don't have that sort of skill so no awesoomeness for me.

I will take look around for the Dragon wings, see how they fair. If I buy them and don't use them they can go on a Trygon for a Harpy conversion and I can use Balrog for the flyrant, or vice versa.

If you just cut the scales off the dragon wings and file em smooth it'll blend pretty well even without greenstuff work.

maybe at one of the various places that sell bits, but I bought the whole kit as alot of it was used on the Tyrant, and many of the other parts were used to make my jetbike farseer.

They're $10 and they're plastic. Here's the link my man:

mm. I'll have look, but the Blarog and Dragon stuf is more appealing. Your model looks epic BTW.

thank you, took about a month to model, unfortunatly due to an over zealous kitty, I gotta make repairs and touch up before I take some good pics of it. I will post them when I do.

I'm actually using this tutorial right now on a custom set of wings, due to how cost-effective it is:

Why is it that only those who have never fought in a battle are so eager to be in one?
