Thanks to everyone who helped the make the Golden Throne Grand Tournament the first GT of sixth edition!

When do sign-ups start?

We'll begin accepting registrations very soon -- we have a few more things to finalize and announce first.

Updated initial post to include bullet points on the main event, team tournament and paint competition.

Right on i like the format team zero comp will for sure show our support. Are you guys going to make it out to the bay area open this year we sure hope so its going to be a lot of fun.

I don't have anything planned for August 4 and 5. If my schedule is still free, I might sign up.

It's nice to have a huge tournament in my home town. San Jose Convention center is also conveniently close to the light rail.

Looks like I picked a good time to get back into 40k with my Necrons.

We've just posted scenarios for the event. We're using Primary, Secondary and Tertiary victory conditions.

This is shaping up to be a hell of an event. We're working on announcements on swag bag contents now -- buy your tickets early to guarantee your bag!

We've just announced A Hero's Stand, our two-day Golden Throne warmup event. We'll play five Golden Throne rounds plus a top two playoff over two days on May 12-13, 2012. The event will be held at Heroes on Paper in Stockton, California. We've got space for 30+ players and we're taking signups now.

Tickets are only $25 per team, and each team consists of two players with 1000pts each. This event is going to be a lot of fun!

Hey Rob, what's the game plan if 6th ed roles through in June or July?

If 6th edition hits on or before July 02, 2012, we'll update the scenarios to use the new rules. If it hits after that we'll stick with 5th edition rules. It wouldn't be fair of us to implement sweeping changes to the rules so close to the event.

How much space is left? I wont know if I can have the days off work as normally they can only afford me to take 1 day off. Missed out on several tournaments this year because of it,

We're still about three months out, and there's plenty of space at the moment.

Any prizes for the team tournament? I looked but didn't see anything listed.

We haven't announced the team tournament prizes yet. We're working that out at the moment and hope to have them up by Friday.
