Hey everyone, I thought I would start a P&M thread on my necrons for a couple of reason. My OCD won't let me play with unfinished, unpainted minis so the first reason for this thread will be to keep me on track so I can actually get games in. The next reason is to get your feedback, what you like, don't like, think I could do better etc. The list of what I have in front of me:

4 lords (3 from the barges)
3 Cryptek
60 or so warriors
15 or so scarab swarms
5 Destroyers (2 Heavy Destroyers)
3 Barges
4 Arks

(not shown - destroyers and Crypteks as I just got those)

I plan on using a modified Nihilakh Dynasty paint scheme, I am using the blue, off-white, silver, but most of the golds are gone. Also the white and blue are in different positions as well. I also still have to make the choice if I want to use red rods or blue rods, I have both just don't know which will look good with the off-white I am using. (I have the green rods as well but I don't think I want to use them).

The plan was to get most of these built up before painting but that didn't happen as you will see in the following posts.

Here I go

Quick update (further updates will be posts, just figured since I already had this update I would edit the first post with it)

I have a few models already done as I hadn't planned on making a blog for these until about an hour ago when my inspiration was low.

Barge 1 assembled, magnetized to be both a CCB or Annibarge ( I plan on doing this with all my kits)

Annibarge

CCB

Bottom turret magnetized for load out options

Load out one

Load out 2

Primed and ready for paint

The bast I put together for this model. Its modeling clay hardened than cut to look like stones and than ground cork for the "dirt/sand." I need to find more of these flat flying bases. These bases are just flat bases with holes for the flying stem... I have had these since I started this hobby and unfortunately it seems Gale Force 9 doesn't make them anymore sigh.

Also in hind sight magnetizing the barge was a waste of my magnets (except for the gun turret). The model is designed will enough that with care while moving during games nothing should move. I still plan to magnetize the arks however.

Roughly 2300 pts with out any gear on the lords or crypteks and taking the the arks as ghosts, one CCB and the other 2 as Annibarges.

I have been unable to do much with these guys unfortunately. I got stuck on a TDY that lasted a lot longer than it was supposed to so I lost about 2 weeks there, not to mention that I cut my right hand using a pneumatic titanium hydraulic line cutter... and I paint right handed so that took some time out of everything too. But here is a barge with the base colours I plan on using for the rest of the army. Enjoy!

Sorry for the not so good pictures, I am working on getting a new camera and some new lights.

That's a rather nice scheme for necrons, even if it's not very usual. Hope your hand gets better.
