So a Corpse Cart can be taken as a mount for either necromancer, or it can be taken as a special slot unit.

The question is which is better and why? My current list has a lv2 riding it with the Book of Arkhan.

I guess it all depends whether your character have left over points to spare in their % allowance.

In my opinion it is often easier to fit stuff in the specials allocation than character allocation, therefore choices like that often find them selves taken as special choices. This aside, I think that mounting a character on it is not the best idea for the following reasons; a) it limits the characters maneuverability a lot, b) it limits the utility of the cart since with a necro you cant charge it anywhere if you get a bit desperate and thirdly c) the necro is safer in a unit than on a chariot.

The only reason to mount a Necromancer on a corpse cart is if he would otherwise be sitting by himself.

Usually you want to include a bunker unit for your necromancers, you're much better off with the two seperated since a cannon shot will make both of them sad.

Change and change until Change is our master, for nothing neither God nor mortal can hold that which has no form. Change is the constant that cannot be changed.

No game of chess can be won without pawns, and this may prove to be a very long game.
