Hi all,

The Space Rangers project is coming together nicely so it is time to start planning the next project

There are two remaining armies I haven't played yet, Tyranids and Necrons. I really, really dislike Tyranids so it looks like Necrons are next! With a new codex and a new edition of 40k this is a great time to start Necrons.

I plan on making every model in the army using plasticard, various rods & tubes, plastice beads, etc. I used stick men as inspiration. I made a test model.

I used a 4mm bead for the ankles. 1/8" tube for lower leg. a small stip of plasticard for the foot.

Alternate view of feet.

Lower legs are 1/8" tube. 1/16" rod to pin pieces together. Knee is 5mm bead

Showing the difference between camfering and not. It makes a better bond with beads.

Legs and torso.

Elbow is 5mm bead. Hand is 4mm bead. Lower arm is 1/8" tube. "Handle" is 3mm bead. Gun is 1/8" tube. 1/16" red fluroescent rod.

Head is a 6mm bead with 1/16" rod through opening. #10 washer is used for ...? I'm not sure, but I like it . The head still needs some more work.

Whoops, made it wayyyy to big. Next version will use shorter pieces

I know this army will not appeal to some people, but it should be a fun modeling project.

Any ideas are appreciated.

Thanks and take care

Interesting, will be watching this!!!

Suscribed.

"Forget the power of technology and science, for so much has been forgotten, never to be re-learned. Forget the promise of progress and understanding, for in the grim darkness of the far future there is only war. There is no peace amongst the stars, only an eternity of carnage and slaughter, and the laughter of thirsting gods."

Um, isn't styrene + gasoline = napalm?
More or less yes...Great, we've gone from cheap resin substitutes to weapons banned by the geneva convention...

Hi all,

I've made a new test model. It is a bit more "bare bones" than the previous model. Also, it is much smaller.

I figure this style would be good for warriors. Models should become more complex when further up the technology ladder.

Thanks and take care
