I tried to do something with a defiler i was given, even though it had one leg missing im pleased with the results, this is my first major play with green stuff, what do you think? any tips?

I for one like him. The guts where the leg used to be are superb,and if wasn't for the colours of the plating, I would assume it to be Nurgle.
Tips? Maybe give a wash on the gold it does look a bit flat

Looks good, though you should have kept the ugly bits closer to the damaged leg, rather than have it all over.

Looks pretty darn good. I like the paint scheme of the defiler (black and gold) and the colours are nice for the guts as well. The way they are laid about is really cool to. But I def agree with juraigamer. WOuld be cool if it was just near the leg. Regardless still looks great.
