so if a Hive Tyrant has the hive commander ability, can he let a tervigon outflank? (tervigon serving as a troop choice that is?)

Yes, it can. Keep in mind, however, that the Tervigon won't be able to spawn babies on the turn it arrives.

Imo, outflanking hormagaunts or warriors are scarier.

Are you sure? It's able to spawn at any point in the movement phase, if i am not mistaken.

It spawns before it moves, so cannot spawn when outflanking, as it cannot spawn off the table.

Nah, Tervigons spawn at the beginning of the turn, the actual wording is "before it has moved" so it has to move onto the board first. Catalyst (FNP) can be cast anytime during the movement phase.

Yes, they would be. Especially since the Hormagaunts don't need to test for IB when they arrive, so they can potentially create an 18" death-zone. 20 Hormagaunts on your flanks?

Even better - 30 devil gants - create a guaranteed 24" death-zone - Just remember to conga them within 12" of a tervy so you can FnP them as well!
